I certainly can't dispute your taste buds, but I can't believe they fell of that fast either. Did you open another can?

I have yet to open another after that can. I'll probably chalk it up to me following a bomber of King Sue with that can - which changed my palate, what I'm expecting haze-wise, and a change in hops. Maybe rolling the can a bit will switch things up as well, as some of the contents may have settled to the bottom.

I'll roll a can around a bit tonight to see if it helps anything out.

I had a can of GB Sunday, and it was fantastic and as hazy as ever. Must have been a bunch of settling if you didn't get the haze (or a bad can?).

I had a few cans last week that varied in "in your face ness" and one last night that tasted kinda harsh. The inconsistencies with these type of beers can be frustrating.

Ok your post annoyed me at first. im not a freshness freak. but i opened a can tonight and i agree. HTF does that happen . maybe sat around in the bright tank too long? (real question)

    The intrigue grows...

What sticks out to of the comments to me is the the losing the haze part. How does that happen? If everything is settling out of suspension then I can see how the flavors would be way different, but have trouble understanding why it is losing that so quick. If it is that bad where it is undrinkable I would go extreme and try vigorously shaking the can before opening and taking appropriate precautions over the sink so you don't get beer everywhere (maybe letting it explode upsidedown into an entire empty pitcher and letting the foam settle out for 15 minute before drinking).

The hazy was fine, the taste had vastly changed to kinda malty.

Scientifically speaking, how would you rate the haze on the hazebro scale? Haze for hours, haze for days, or haze ad infinitum?

I'm wondering if this was a badly-sealed can, then. I had a similar issue with another beer, it got darker and tasted gross (kind of like cardboard).

I opened a can last night after my initial post about the beer falling off. I shook and rolled the can before I opened it, and it seemed that everything settled to the bottom, as this can was as hazy as the first one I opened on Wednesday. The mouth feel seems softer as well, but I'm standing by what I say about the Galaxy notes. They're much more potent and in my face on every sip, and the beer is extremely more bitter on the end.

I'm still going to drink my last can, and I'm not a snob - I just feel this is like early Mikerphone IPA's with how fast the taste fell off for me. Different strokes for different folks!

Cracked one tonight & remembered your post.

I'm not crazy about the Marz NE IPA's in general (I find them average to slightly above average usually) but my last can held up pretty well. In fact, the first one I had was canned the same day I drank it; I think I enjoyed this one slightly more.

Not apples to apples as this was never my favorite local version as it was for you, but I figured I'd log my results on here as well.

I had his experience with the same adjectives for Toro. Triple IPA’s and/or TDH beers don’t seem to follow the same decline curves. They seem to become messes unpredictably fast

scored a 4-pack of Galaxy Bowl tonight. its not bad, i like it better as it warms. great color and aroma, taste isn't half bad. still get a twang that is consistent with most hopbutcher ipas im not a fan of.

all in all its a good pickup. not close to gb1 though.

Yeah I enjoy it but can’t quite describe the twang. In B2 I thought it had Belgian characteristics. I wouldn’t say that now, but whatever it is that’s not quite working for me is related to that issue before. Would buy a 4 pack of it again but probably wouldn’t rush across town like this last time

I didn’t enjoy the HB collab with weldworks our of the gate. But it turned out to be way better after 8-9 weeks in my fridge.

I think my cans of GB were a little harsh initially. I’m gonna wait at about a month and see what happens.

I’m not a guy looking for a full bodied beer. I want it to finish clean, and sometimes letting some of these cans sit in the fridge for a few weeks makes a good difference.

It never will be, he’s not tying to make that beer. Everything is much drier nowadays. Different yeast.

I think anyone experiencing that “twang” they experienced in HB beers last year is in their own head. I know what people are referencing and agreed, but that I haven’t got that in a long time.
Since months before Unwind Your Mind. Unwind Your Mind was the last beer I remember any kind of lingering flavor that wasn’t just dry and hoppy.
