What beer are you drinking now? #2009

Michigan.
Founders: Breakfast stout, imperial stout, dirty bastard, backwoods bastard, porter. Also a good IPA. This would keep me happy for a long .

 

Was told by my bottle shop a mildly fun story for beer geeks (not in WV).

Apparently some "archaic" law says anything over x% in WV must be sold in 22+oz bottles. The idea, I'm guessing is that it's more obvious it's a higher ABV beverage in that format. Well, the distributors there got a bunch of 12oz cases of KBS. That allotment apparently got shipped to VA and MD. Lucky us, one would argue

 

Working on a Saturday sucks bit at least there was free pizza and cupcakes tonight. Light beer and light reading before bed.

I've passed on the MILF this year. I was never overly impressed with that beer. At least they dumped the bad batch this year.

Currently I'm watching Apollo 13 and drinking this.

@superspak sent this double IPA to me from Ellison. Tasting pretty good.



The nose is huge with lots of fresh citrus and hop aromas, the flavor brings it in a much lesser fashion but still tasty. Nice resins lingering on. Crisp carbonation, resiny finish. Overall a nice IIPA though not as good as Ellison's other offerings. 4.05 out of 5. Solid.

@jzeilinger nothing high quality here but I wanted to share. Ive had this twelve string for like 20 years at least. Fender brand probably made overseas not sure. Nice mellowing of a solid top rosewood back and sides. Bought in pawn shop. Needs a new nut. Just picked it up for the first time in like 3 months and its still in tune.

 

I’m not even going to try anymore. I downloaded photobucket, but to hell if I ever find out how to use it. Does anyone recommend another app for uploading pics?
