Bosque taproom gets really good stuff on a regular basis. La Cumber is well represented. But a cool local place is the Spotted Dog. If you haven't found it, definitely worth a try. And High Desert is improving.

Wasn't sure if I would manage to make it on here today but after a 70 hour week at work I needed a beer.
Excited to try a new to me Old Nation.

Pours a turbid burnt orange with two fingers of white head.
Smell is citrus, primarily oranges. A bit of sweet malts coming through too.
Taste follows, sweet oranges up front. Some pith in the middle. Finishes with the oranges.
Full bodied, thick IPA with good carbonation level. Smooth feel.
Overall a good example of the style IMO.

Bolero Snort made it all the way out to LA for BA's first west coast Extreme Beer Fest. I was really impressed with their high gravity stuff.

Thankful this is my local brewery, I haven't had a bad beer from them yet.
Pours a slightly foggy golden yellow with white head. A few floaties dancing around.
Smells of citrus, lemons, some dank notes coming through as well.
Very citrus forward taste, tart orange, a bit of dank hops. Tart finish.
Light to medium bodied with an initial bite.
Overall a good IPA, like I said, I've yet to have a bad beer from CC.

    Maduro brown ale
    ..very dark brown muddy/cloudy appearance
..Body is just above average with medium carbonation.
..aroma malt, roasted malt, some Brown sugar and what almost seems like vanilla
..taste is a nice combo of malt and roasted malt but it doesn't come off like a malt bomb. Nice lingering sweet finish where the, what I feel is vanilla shows up
..overall it was a user friendly version of a malt forward beer. Very easy drinking and enjoyable[IMG]

    Well Hello Late Night NBS
Finally hit this gem from our very own @Buck89 . Rec'd in our phenomenal fun-laden fermented circular firing squad aka NBS BIF #7 The Spy Who Beered Me.

Sorry it took me a few weeks John. I really tries to time it to share with a buddy. I'm done waiting. His loss. More for me.:grinning:

Golden hued and pumping bone white fluff nearly 3 fingers high. Recedes leaving nice sticky lacing.
Aroma is guava, citrus, maybe some mango. There's a subtle almost earthy spice or herbal note that I can't nail down.
Flavor begins with a tropical melange. Begins with a warm blend of papaya, grapefruit, guava, hint of pineapple juice that has seen to much time in the open air, hints of pine and onion, and I think I'm getting some of my mom's lemon verbena. Finishes a little dank, but more oniony. Not too much to detract. A lot going on here.
Mouthfeel is a bit fluffy, carbonated well. A bit of ABV warmth peeks through.
Overall, I like this a lot. There's a lot going on in it. I feel it's one to have on multiple occasions to see how many different aspects one can glean.

    You d'man, John.

Waited up on my stepdaughter to get in from Tampa for a night. She brought me some Tampa crowlers from Angry Chair and 7venth Sun so I'm going to enjoy those over the upcoming week. She and I are both raspberry fans so I picked up this new one from Monday Night to try with her.

Pours a hazy pink with minimal head.
Smell is tart raspberry with faint hints of the barrel.
Taste follows, very tart raspberry that hits the jawls a bit.
    Light to medium bodied.
    Overall an enjoyable Berliner.

Happy New Beer Sunday! Tonight my first beer is Jack's Abby Mass Rising, their seasonal DIPL.

L: Hazy, translucent gold with a creamy white head. Moderate retention, with rings of lacing.

S: Ruby red grapefruit flesh, orange zest, pineapple, white bread crust, honey, clover.

T: Huge punch of pineapple and grapefruit upfront. Red grapefruit flesh and blood orange as well as bitter pith, orange peel, lemon. White bread malt with a kiss of honey sweetness. Crisp, clean, and lightly dry; with a touch of pine needle and then a lingering, moderate grapefruit/blood orange bitterness.

F: Medium/medium-full, well-carbonated, fills rich and full on the palate, yet moves quickly. Is extremely drinkable, not too much sweetness or bitterness.

O: This is fantastic, delicious DIPL. Absolutely recommended to any hophead.

Next up is Stillwater The Cloud. A hazy IPA brewed with oats and lactose. The aroma is awesome: ripe honeydew melon, pineapple, peach, grapefruit, sugar cookie, and fresh cut grass. The taste isn't quite as delightful--still nice, though, with lemon, pineapple, honeydew melon, sugar cookie, and grass notes. The mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, though. Overall, a pretty enjoyable IPA.

Wow. This beer gets a lot of hype, and now I see why. It looks like orange juice, and it smells like passionfruit, pineapple, coconut, banana, watermelon, and pink bubblegum. The taste doesn't quite live up to the nose in this one, too, but it's a wonderful melange of pineapple, orange, lemon, and bubblegum.
The feel is creamy and silky; a bit light, but very drinkable.
Overall, an excellent New England style IPA.
