Good morning, BAs! Drenching rain here, so rescheduled all of my morning plans. Hoping to make it to the new Yards brewhouse later. In the meantime, starting with some 10-day old NY hops.

 

Just me and the kiddos this morning. Started our day at 5:30 am, so I may be joining them for a snooze at nap time!

I think this stuff has improved significantly over the past several months. Was initially kinda harsh and one dimensional. Lots of chocolate now, along with a pleasant roastiness. Cheers!

Quick Hamm's before Deadpool 2. Fucking flex day at work is Sunday and I was supposed to be off. Now I'm supposedly working until midnight and either incompetence or glitch has me working 6am Monday. 6/7 again this week. Fuck Holidays. No way in fuck am I waking up at 5am after Slayer Friday. Not gonna let em ruin my day no surree

Bit of a lousy pour. My mind wandered of to the the sirloin steak in the background that I prepared to put on the grill later Since I'm all by myself tonight this is a good opportunity to test some new 'Argentinian' (or is it Argentine ?) steak-rub.

Finished my workout... an average lift and a slightly improved treadmill session. Couldn't decide which coffee beer to start the day with, so I chose them all (I wasn't feeling Sunday Morning Stout)!


Of course, sharing with the GF for the next hour plus. I'll spare you the side-by-side-by-side, but no surprise in bitter to sweeter: FBS, KBS, Cafe Royale.

I tried this last night also and it was a one and done for me...IMO hoppy beers are just not meant for bourbon barrels, the flavors clash way too much. I had a feeling this would be my take so glad I purchased just a single.

 

How is this beer? I think I may pick it up next time.

 

I drank that exact goddamn beer last night out of the exact glass. What the hell are the chances of that. Mine was an 06 though and it was sublime.
