    Happy Monday everyone. Although not in the US this year, my thoughts are with those families who have lost loved ones that served their country. Let's all raise a glass to them. Today I'm enjoying a Thomas Hardy's Ale (2017) with appropriate glassware. This glass was generously given to me by someone at the brewery. One of my favorite beers to age. Cheers everyone.

    I don't often weigh into WBAYDN?, but when I do, it is usually because of unfinished business from NBS. This instance is no exception:

    I am leaving shortly to visit my paternal grandparents' gravesite with my Mom-Za & Uncle Steve. What do my paternal grandfather, Ernest Hemingway & John Dos Passos have in common? All were WWI ambulance drivers! Phew. My paternal grandfather was one of the last mounted calvarymen in that same war. Unbelievable that either/both lived & that their offspring married & created me! The blessing & curse of older parents - Pops & all of my grandparents are gone, but I was christened with a real name, not "Pepsi-Cola Sunshine" or some other crazy s**t from the burgeoning era (1965).

    Happy Memorial day to my fellow vet's that made it home. Taking the easy way out for lunch, 5 Guys burgers with the last Hopslam for this year. Honey taste is gone and alcohol feels up. Chased it with a fresh Jai-Alai. Be safe and enjoy family and the day!
