Is anyone else already planning their T day beer lineup? ...or am I jus THAT geeky? Here's what I'm thinking:

    Pre dinner:
    Rochefort 10

    With Dinner:
    Bruery Autumn Maple

    After Dinner:
    Firestone-Walker Double DBA

    Then:
    Nap

I'm sure you're not the only one. I've already given it some thought. Probably going to grab some SN Celebration for the day and a bomber of an impy stout for after dinner, maybe GD oak aged Espresso or Chocolate Yeti. Still have a few bottles of FBS sitting in the fridge too that I've been holding onto for the holidays. Will probably do my shopping a week or so before to avoid the pandemonium at the store. I made the mistake last year of shopping the day before, big mistake.

For me, the Celebration is all about Christmas and NewYears. Love that stuff!

I will be working my ninth straight Thanksgiving and I usually don't get home until 8pm or so that night, so I'll just be coming home and looking for something voluminous and high ABV. I'll probably put my Uinta Oak-Jacked Pumpkin in the fridge to have at the ready.

I'm planning an imperial pumpkin, possibly the crooked lines Oak Jack Imperial Pumpkin, and definitely The Bruery's Autumn Maple. I'm thinking about some SN Celebration ale as well.

Brown Shugga for watching football. Autumn Maple for dinner time. Hopefully a Backwoods Bastard to end the night. Those plus the usual food coma should keep me sleeping right through the shopping madness of the next day.

New Glarus Raspberry Tart / Belgian Red / Serendipity will be shared with the extended family.

Darkness 2012 will be opened after dinner with family / cigar.

2 variations on a "scotch / scottish" (homebrew SMASH competition with 2row and cluster hops) on tap as well as a sorachi ace dry hopped flanders amber for casual consumption during the day as well as a variety of New Glarus / Half Acre / Three Floyds in the fridge.

We host Thanksgiving dinner, one holiday of the year where the family gets to drink good beer or enjoy wine / liquor.

    Cheers!

I think I am going to get a good brown Ale to enjoy because that's about the only type of beer I like when I am eating.

I'll probably be working Thanksgiving night (I work overnights) but come that Saturday I'll be unleashing some of the Texas big guns. Yeehaw! Still got at least 8 bottles of Fat Jack that I'm saving for that weekend.
