It's 85° in the sun, great day for an 11% abv BA stout. Miskatonics Bell Witch. 1st beer I've seen sold in a two pack. Good stuff, reminds me of Dragons Milk. Time to go jump in the lake. Cheers!

I guess marketing works wonders across the world . I have the Swedish 3.5% grocery store version (brewed in Sweden along with the regular strenght version) in my glass but I'll agree with that assessment, Heineken is a-okay in my book, especially as a thirst quencher. This 3.5% version retains quite a bit of the taste of the 5% version I find, it still tastes distinctively Heineken with a mild sweetness and hop bitterness so it makes for a decent compromise beer when the monopoly is closed and you still want a beer or two.

 

I wasn't expecting much going into this, and it delivers! Not horrible, but the single I bought will be enough for me.

At Twin Elephant not just a new beer but a new sub style Brut IPA. I’m enjoying this a lot and think I have a beer for NBS.

My intent is not to torture @Dragginballs76 (well, maybe a little) with seafood pics but when in the OuterBanks NC I try to get my fill.

Started with oysters.

Fried flounder with crab meat topping.

And of course, beer.

 

Celebrating a new full time job by buying a bunch of singles and enjoying some sunshine. This thing went down fast.

 

This is the clearest hazy IPA I've encountered, not that its a bad thing. Cheers!

PERFECT FOR THE SETTING

 

After 3 days touring in the Galilee we're back in Jerusalem. When we were here last weekend we stayed in the Old City where it was hard to find good local beer. Now, we're staying in a hostel downtown with a great bottle shop half a block away. I'm drinking Herzl Brewing's Cuban Tobacco Leaf Porter. It has a unique flavor profile of cigar smoke and toffee and it's easily the best beer I've had in Israel. I'm looking forward to drinking Herzl's Oatmeal Stout and some beers from Shapiro Brewing I picked up today. Cheers from Jerusalem!

 

Home from golf and refreshing with his low AVB, locally brewed, kettle sour while I enjoy a couple extra hours at home with the kids that would normally be spent commuting.

Working from home tomorrow. Not too shabby.
