It's under 100 degrees so I decided to go big, 2017 Firestone Walker Parabola.

A Rib Eye and an IPA called Patroon from Hidden Cove Brewing Co. A little late off grill but when you work you get it when you can. Charred inside but you should have seen the juicy inside. Together they are my RibIPA. Gotta put that on a menu, probably already done though.

Very nice DIPA. Great head retention/lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate honey, caramel, lightly toasted bready malts; and floral/grassy hop earthiness. Touch of booze in aromas as it warmed, a bit too malty/muddy. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, floral, grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; creamy/bready/grainy malts and some sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying/astringency. Dangerously smooth, minimal warming 10.7%. Aromas had me thinking this was going to be really sweet, but it wasn't. Lighter bodied than I expected for the ABV. Balanced juicy hops and dark/bready malts, with mild lingering sweetness. Definitely classic C's + Amarillo hops. 3.88

All flowers sour. Awesome! Decent head retention and minimal lacing as usual. Super pale straw colored. Aromas and flavors of big tart lemon, lime, citrus zest, peach, pear, red/green apple, melon, strawberry, white wine, chamomile, rose, elder flower, lavender, hay, straw, herbal, grass, and oak; with some wheat, crackery malts; and lighter notes of peppercorn, cinnamon, clove, leathery/musty funk, white wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate lactic tart/sourness; light herbal/floral bitterness and yeast/oak spiciness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, light body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced grainy wheat, lactic acid, and sticky spice, and some oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing lactic/tannic dryness, mild lingering pucker. Very smooth, not overly lactic, 6.3%. Another easy winner. Well rounded Brett/Bacteria complexity with great presence of the floral spices; solid oak presence and pale/wheat malts against acidity. They can't make a bad sour. 4.1

[IMG] So this company has not impressed me with IPA and DIPA thus far, but this peanut butter imperial stout is a one dimensional masterpiece! 10% ABV and truly amazing.

I came back downstairs after putting my daughter to bed and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason was on TV. Apparently it’s the sequel. I watched it for about 10 minutes, snapped the F out of whatever trance I was in and remembered I have Captain’s Daughter canned on 7/11 sitting in my fridge.

Now I’ve got this in hand while listening to this album.

Almost every time I drink Trillium, I'm surprised by how world-class they really are. Should know by now. Thanks, @TheIPAHunter

I like both of these breweries, so it's no surprise that this collaboration is working. Looking forward to trying Aslin's Master of Oranges soon. If not tonight, maybe tomorrow. Cheers.

Just like the last one...chocolate greatness. This one is from January of ‘16. Should have been doing this ages ago. I still have one of these though. Jack’s Abby does not make bad beer.
