anchor san franpsycho ipa, ipa w/ peaches and apricots.

typically underrated anchor beer. admittedly a touch sweet, but the flavor and mouthfeel are both very good, and very seasonally appropriate. predicting it will pair well with the tacos i have coming to me.

Delicious IPA. Fantastic lasting head retention and thick foamy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate caramel, toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced creamy/bready malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel; light resins/rinds. Light-moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very drinkable, not overly aggressive, 6.2%. Really well made classic style Midwest IPA. Definitely Chinook, and probably Columbus as well. Very juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering dryness. Loved it. 3.93

Excellent fruited American red. Great head retention and soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big juicy apricots, grapefruit, orange, lemon, peach, pineapple, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate caramel, brown sugar, toasted bread malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, grassy. spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; creamy/bready malts and some sticky hops in the mmouthfeel; slight lingering resins. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness. Very smooth and flavorful, 5.6%. Feels like Centennial, Cascade, and Amarillo. Great balanced juicy hops/apricots; nice dark/bready malt backbone, but not overly sweet. Would definitely grab again, not many amber/reds available locally. Was a big fan. 4

This movie has several people in it that I really like and I therefore find it to be an entertaining movie. That’s why I’m watching it right now. Until of course my wife comes down from getting my daughter ready for bed and sees me watching it for the nteenth time.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that feels that way!

Edit: to quote my lovely wife when she walked on the room: “Babe. Not this goddamn movie again.”

Good evening, all! My on-call weekend passed without too much excitement. Now that my time is my own - albeit temporarily - I'm going with another from the SN Southern Hemisphere pack. This is the Session IPA. This may be my favorite from the pack. Very fruity and floral, quite dry, pleasantly bitter, and only a hint of sweetness. Paired with Antiques Roadshow. Now, I know that playing the AR drinking game with a session IPA is probably not the way to go, so I came up with a modified version. If the appraiser asks a guest any variation of the question "Do you have any idea of its value?" then I get to take a drink. If the guest responds with any variation of "No, dumbass, that's why I'm here" then I get to take three drinks. That should speed things up quite a bit, I'd think. Veneer!
