Suarez Family Brewing (2018)

That hopped up blonde ale gets me every time amid the fruity, grassy, herbal, hop bite goodness: notes are lively, playful and purely blissful as they dance gracefully around lemon, cardamom, lime, citrus, melon, kiwi, and soft pine. The subtle white wine/grape and gooseberry mechanisms paly to the palate, while a pineapple, mango-puree takes control of the aroma upon timing.

With a sensible presence of malt, a peppery hop bite, and a dank, rustic, crisp, compact feel...this blonde is *****-and-span, and a true showcase of NZ hops at the inconceivable < 4%

 

This is everything I feel about this beer said far more eloquently than I could have put into words. Every time I have this beer, it blows me away.

 

does Suarez distribute Palatine? I see their bottles every now and then.

Out of the bottles I bought a week or two ago, I’d say Local Boy is my favourite. Been drinking it this evening. Just a fantastic beer and perfect on a hot day like today.

 

I had a bottle of Country Store with dinner last night that was bottled 8/17. It was sublime.

 

Made my first visit on Friday and it totally lived up to the hype. Taps were great and was really happy to get cans of Palatine & Cabana--loved the texture from the wheat--and a bottle of Local Boy. Superb stuff all around and loved how chill, in multiple senses, the taproom was on a crazy hot day. Lookin' forward to revisiting.

 

Anyone know of their mixed ferment beers are bottled with killer yeast or just their primary culture. Enjoying a “Hundo” now and would love to know how I can use the culture.

 

They use a champagne/wine yeast so the sacch will be gone as well as any LAB, but maybe some bretts will survive.

 

Sweet thanks! The wine yeast won’t kill the LAB though, just the Sacch.

This latest batch of Hecto (had @ Threes this weekend) was really damn good and surprisingly juicier than I remember.

 

I’ve spent the past week randomly thinking and hoping Suarez has brewed an Oktoberfest.

Just drank my only bottle of Call to Mind Vintage 1. Wow that was great!

 

Second time here. I wish I lived next door. It is the definition of a perfect brewery. If I could come here once a week I would. Instead I will just buy as much as my credit card allows...

 

Do they sell out of offerings on Sunday? never been and might have the chance to go this sunday. Thanks.
