Backwoods Bastard Chicago Sightings - 2012

If anyone knows where this is available in the north or northwest burbs, please shoot me a message. Every Binny's I've called is either sold out or hasn't seen it yet. Just hoping to find a bottle so I can try it.

 

SmallBar Division just tapped theirs, so guess that's where I'll be in an hour or so. Expecting to be disappointed -- that way maybe I'll actually be pleasantly surprised.

 

Mmm, this is tasty. Lots of bourbon and a nice buttery aftertaste

 

Side question: where does Founders get there barrels from for this? And their other barrel aged beers?

I've searched around and can't find any info.

 

But not for long! I just missed it, was two people in line behind the dude that got the last two. Hopefully it'll pop up elsewhere soon.

Berkot's in New Lenox had a few 4 packs on the shelf this afternoon. Might have to go pick one up tomorrow aftering seeing how fast this is selling elsewhere.

 

They have a few 4 packs left at the Berkots in Mokena as well.

If anyone in Chicago wants to trade for 2012 KBS, BCBS, or Devil Dancer, I'm looking for a couple bottles.

It sounds like it's as scarce as 2012 KBS was. My local Binny's is only getting one case, so they'll be selling individual bottles.

 

You're best bet would be smaller liquor stores off the beaten path.

There's a whole bunch in my local store next to some CBS and some Cantillon.

I don't know how they do it, but they always seem to get the foudners limited stuff. For a grocery store, i love their beer selection.
