Bottle poured into a teku glass

Clear copper liquid, micro streams of carbonation, two finger off white foam cap, good lacings

Aroma is spicy, mild pepper,

Spicy hops over a good malt grain taste

Slight bitterness, hop nibble, slightly dry

Good beer

 

This brewery has been kinda hit-or-miss for me, but this is delicious!

Time to sit down to some important youtube videos. As someone who is typing this on a monitor casting to the tv i'm really interetsed.

 

Revisiting the newest localest brewery to us, Chubby Squirrel. Only four beers of their own on tap - guessing business has been decent given the surrounding area. Having a SMaSH with Vienna and I believe I heard Galaxy:


A nice light toasted bread nose with light grass notes becomes a non-sweet malt-forward beer with an earthy to dry pine needle bitter lean in the end. Not exactly what you’d expect Galaxy should yield though I think this hop is one my palate doesn’t usually agree with the profile. But it is possible it’s just a drier grain (husk) aspect coming through.

 

Anybody else experiencing these cans gushing as of late?

Hubbard’s Cave Fresh V5. This is my favorite of the series. No surprise since it’s my two favorite hops, Citra and Mosiac. Cheers to the weekend BA!

Hands in the Cookie Jar milk stout; Self Destructive Tendencies gose, sour, IPA; Sweet Escape Belgian witte; Alone in a Crowded Room cheery frappe IPA.

Excellent milk stout. Not too sweet, no charcoal, nice coffee flavor. Self Destructive...the server said it was a mistake resulting in a combination that sounds unholy...other than being super aggressive on the salt, it actually had a nice fruit flavor and a decent amount of hops. The witte was very good, a bit weak on the spice notes. The "cheery frappe" IPA didn't hit the mark for me. Not much cherry, lots of typical IPA and I don't get the frappe part.

False Prophets was a very tasty NEIPA. Fresh, bright, citrusy without being visually unattractive.

Think there is a lot of upside potential here. Tidy tasting room, reasonable seating, big bar area, view of a very tidy and well-built brew house.

Well..supper...Thai from an excellent place we stumbled on in Keene, and unknown quantity BBQ...we will see how that goes...

 

Had a less than successful round of golf. Decided to venture to Russian River, and off with blind pig. Cheers all!

 

The office was nearly deserted today so I ducked out early to beat the Shore-bound traffic. I think I made the right decision. Cheers to the weekend, everyone!

 

My wife goes through a 15 pack in a week and yes, she says they often gush on opening. She still loves it (and quite frankly, so do I, I just like a bigger variety than her).

 

Of course I got mine from the same place as you, but yes. About 50% of them
