Will be hitting up pipeworks this Friday. Anyone know what barrel aged beers are available?

This is going to be an expensive trip to the Dojo. New oak IPA and Oktoberfest and the BA beers that don't exist...

@flat_lander: "These are not the Barrel Aged beers you are looking for"

Saw the annoucement about the Oktoberfest, but nothing about an oak IPA. The google machine didn't return any results, where did you see that?

It's on their website - in the list of Friday releases. The website says 9/24 but I think they mean 8/24. http://pdubs.net/cans/

Thanks to all you ‘in the know’ BA folks, I hopped on down to the Dojo for my first visit. Excellent experience, super friendly, and well stocked. Spent more than I probably should have but I’m sure my wife will understand...right??

Stopped by the Dojo yesterday to pick up one of each of the new BA releases. It's been said before, but I want to note how much I appreciate Pipeworks' release philosophy for their BA beers. Small line, short wait, and free samples of the BA beers being released all adds up to an awesome experience. It's such a treat to have high quality offerings readily available to the locals who care enough about the beer to write and read forum posts about it. Perhaps when the rest of the world catches up and learns how good these beers are Pipeworks will be forced to go to ticketed releases, but for now I'm a happy fan.

Looking forward to hitting the dojo tomorrow. Did they have samples of the Octoberfest on yesterday?

And in regards to your last sentence, I pray to the beer gods it doesn't happen for a long time

They didn’t have the Oktoberfest ready yesterday, and I asked because I’m looking forward to it! From IG it looks like it will be available tomorrow.

Stopped by the Dojo tonight - Oktoberfest is canned and ready to go. $13 a 4-pack.

They had all the new BA beers (BA Murderous, Brandy Murderous, Port Murderous, Last Kiss), but I was told the Brandy variant wouldn't last much longer. Not sure about the port, but got the impression that was also running low.

I heard the brandy Murderous is hotter than hell. Can anyone confirm?

Based on the 1oz. sample I'd say I agree with that rumor.

I’d second this, also based on the 1oz sample. I think it’s going to turn out beautifully though. Once I got past the heat it really melded well.

I dig the Pipeworks barrel program but I think nearly every bottle is better after settling down for several months. Maybe that’s personal taste but I think they come out tasty but boozy
