Good evening, all! Time for some après-mow treats. First up: a root beer float, made with Halo Top Vanilla Bean ice cream and diet Frostie root beer. Voluminous long-lasting dirty white head, tons of sticky lacing. Big flavors of sassafras and vanilla, sweet finish. Light texture, but a good trade-off for 70 calories, 5g fiber, 5g sugar, and 6g protein.

Now on to the beer. I had a hankering for a sour, so I rummaged around in the fridge and found a Festina Pêche. This is a nice, refreshing beer. The tartness is understated, as is the peach flavor. Dry and crisp finish. This should be a very approachable choice for anyone just getting into sours.

    Cheers!

Glad Odd Sides is dating the cans now. Awesome NEIPA. Great head retention and dense lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of huge tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, light peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, biscuit dough malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; very creamy/bready/grainy malt and some sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light lingering resins/rinds. Light-moderate increasing lingering bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Very drinkable, not aggressive, no warmth of 7%. Definitely has Mosaic/Citra, and maybe Amarillo or El Dorado. Very juicy and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; great wheat/oat/malt backbone, with minimal residual sweetness from lingering bitter dryness. Really spot on stuff as expected. 4.1

Fantastic Geuze! Awesome fluffy head retention/lacing for the style. Aromas and flavors of tart lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white wine, peppercorn, cork, wood, leather, musty funk, hay, straw, and grass; with some wheat/crackery malts; slight white wine vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness, and light wine tang/tartness on the finish. High carbonation, medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt, stickiness, oak tannins, and light tang/acidity in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing spicy, tangy, tannic, carbonated dryness. No pucker/astringency. Refreshingly smooth, 6.4%. Absolutely spot on Boon profile as expected. Very classic and well developed barnyard Brett funk complexity; nice oak foeder presence, and pale/wheat malt backbone. Mild overall lacto presence. 4.28

My first Sand City brew courtesy of my buddy John.
Diamond in the Rough Citra DIPA. One of the best citra ipas I’ve had
    [IMG]
Tastes like cold brew with some booze and chocolate. Awesome
    [IMG]
An homage to the OG Ballantine ipa, born in 1930s Newark. Straight up brilliant. Happy 7th, Carton!

New small batch beer from Sixpoint. Another good one from the Brooklyn facility

This one needs no introduction. Super tart and lemon forward. Excellent

Last can...hope Sixpoint brews this again

    Having a couple of these-

It’s really good, but damn hoppy/bitter for an Oktoberfestbier. It drinks more like a richer, heavier version of German Pilsner.

@FatBoyGotSwagger I liked seeing all the O’fests you’ve been drinking today. I normally pass on Lancaster stuff, but I’m going to pick some up after seeing your comments. Cheers!

Miss me yet? Didn’t think so. I’ve been binge watching “Justified”. That Raylan Givens is a train wreck I can’t stop watching. Ha!
I haven’t missed no beers though, except when I was ready for some Bulleit Rye Whiskey. I’m on the road now.

    In Salina, KS.

    look: 4.25 | smell: 4 | taste: 4 | feel: 4 | overall: 4

    Bottle poured into a stein

Clear light copper, slow carbonation, 5ree finger off white sudsy foam cap, 3minute rentention settles to a dense layer, some lacings

Aroma of malts, grains, cracker malt, bit grassy, whiff of spicy hops,

Taste is spicy hops over doughy malts

Hop feels lingers in the mouth , low sudsing, hop nibble aftertaste

Good beer, a variation on traditional marzens. Interesting attempt but I prefer the classics styles more

Off the muscle. Right down to my last guzzle. BAs, what's good? That last beer went down like purified water straight from the islands of Fiji. Believe me. When you are fortunate enough to cop that DDH Galaxy & Nelson Hamm's, you put in work. What else would you expect?

@FatBoyGotSwagger, coming in at #3 on my favorite Premier beats of all-time, it's Hova from the debut. High praise when I consider that Premier is probably the illest to ever do it. Cheers.
