I always thought that was the explanation but now that I have another brilliant mind analyzing it that has to be the answer.

[IMG] I dig this beer, sadly it was hiding in the warehouse and canned 5/1/18, coffee has faded like Doc @lordofthewiens drive on the first hole at his new golf course. Actually still nice, but I want the dry coffee to sit upfront and dominate this excellent beer. Cheers and see you all tomorrow.

I had a two-four of Blatz in my paws on Sunday at the store. I almost pulled the trigger. Almost.

Galaxy Bowl went down easy. Next up is this beauty.

Aroma is vanilla, vanilla, vanilla. Very prominent. Notes of bourbon, chocolate, and oak round it out. The taste is much more balanced, with bourbon and vanilla leading the way. Slight alcohol heat on the finish, medium full body, and a dry finish. Really excellent beer, never a surprise from the Central Waters barrel program.

Awesome beer! Gonna brag but I got one from two different beer trades. Without a doubt, I got some great stuff and probably owe both senders

For anyone watching the game I wish I had the ability to turn off the "Green Zone" so dumb. Also if I hear anyone say RPO again my head will explode. Cheers!

A nice low ABV "slurpy" Berliner and keeping it on the low side tonight. 'Have to be in the chair early tomorrow AM to get stitches removed at the Oral Surgeon's office and don't want him catching a 2nd hand buzz from my beer breath. :stuck_out_tongue:

Big thanks to @SomethingClever for this. One of a handful of beers non distro beers that I still seek out. A throwback to when the east coast breweries made beer that taste like beer.

The fact I can’t buy this in large quantities is a crime against humanity.

Diggin' the game, diggin' the beer, but work tomorrow trumps all...

Quick nod to Burt Reynolds, such a cool dude, will be fondly remembered (tho not for the face lifts and hair pieces lol)... He was a real fave of mine back in the day, from Stick to Sharky's Machine, to classics like Cannonball Run and Smokey and the Bandit...

I bet a lot of you are fans of Great Lakes beer, but this was my first time buying it in Albany (12 pack sampler), yesterday at Oliver's b-v-g.

All four kinds taste great to me, nice down-to-earth tasting beer like this is always welcome. The porter is my favorite. Very smooth and the taste of roasted malt stays on your tongue after the swallow.

Awesome gose! Aromas and flavors of big sour/tart/tangy rhubarb, red/green apple, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, berries, white wine, sea salt, hay, straw, and grass; with some wheat, cracker malts; light pepper, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt, lactic acid, fruit tang/tannins, and light salinity in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy/carbonated dryness, no pucker. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.5%. Not overly lactic or salty. Great balance of jammy rhubarb, apples, and Lacto complexity; with a nice pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity for the ABV. Spot on style, one of the best I've had in a while.

Fantastic NEIPA. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, white bread dough malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and body; balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Some resins/rinds and increasing lingering bitter dryness. No hop astringency. Very drinkable, not overly aggressive, 6.75%. A bit more drying that expected for the style; but the hops are super vibrant, juicy, dank, and earthy. Nice bready malt backbone with minimal residual sweetness. Looking forward to trying the other single hop Evolutions eventually. Ellison is definitely a new local favorite since they started distributing last year. Very impressive across all styles.
