Ill check it out then, I've had Old Meck beers and every one has been a winner, WR would be completely new I've never had one of their beers.

 

It's too bad Hop Drop and Roll sucks, there was a time I traded it 1-1 for Heady. It's on he way home too, I'm just afraid to buy it, been two years at least. They just lost it after the GABF gold in increasing production and never got it back. Went to a Centerfuge and just lost it, damn that was a great Dipa.

That being said, I have made some plans for another package to go out next week. If I lived east of here, I would probably buy some good bratwurst this weekend just in case.

 

He might want to put on some steel toe boots at least

 

The Pepe Grano is one of the beers I brought back to Minnesota in my suitcase, and was quite impressed. Next time I go to NC, some of their cans will be coming back, for sure.

 

Old Meck is always a great choice, great beer great food and a big space. Never been to Wooden Robot.

 

Haw River is really close to my Mom's house we need to meet up sometime.

Woah woah woah. Several points:
1. A sanctioned drop against my proscribed target is well within the rules of engagement.
2. I cannot control if the carrier delivers a payload a day early! Also, didn't know you were out of town!
3. So the 'mystery beer' in there... I kind of forgot that they place their name/logo on the cork as well, so if you want to maintain the mystery... well, like close your eyes? Or get someone else to take the cork off for you? I dunno. I also realized I sent a second pseudo-mystery beer because it's got the brewery info on there but nothing about what beer it is specifically. You should probably drink that one on the sooner side.
4. @beertunes surprisingly and disappointingly I was not able to locate the bottle we discussed previously, but by the time I found this out it would have been too late to get one from you anyway. Apologies. Next round I'll be better, I promise!
5. holy shit I take a couple of days off from checking back in as it seemed to be slowing down and BOOM now I'm eleven pages behind! BAH

I'm digging into @Vidblain's box. Dare Mighty Things - Citra and Cryo, from The Brewing Projekt in Eau Claire WI. Although the BA profile calls it an American IPA, it's as New England as a boiled lobster. It's very, very good. Thanks, Chris!

Wanted to open this one from @Roguer , the base beer to the bourbon and rum barrel aged El Mariachi before NBS.



22 ounce bottle, no date seen. Poured into a tulip.
Pours black as night, cappuccino colored head of bubbles in varying sizes. No lacing as I drink it but a generous ring around the interior of the glass. Looks great.
Smoke or ash, vanilla, heavy roast nose.
Bitter dark chocolate, rich vanilla, chocolate covered coffee beans. Dark roast coffee. Not getting much heat from the peppers, it’s more of a vegetal pepper. It’s not off putting in any way. Mild cinnamon at the finish. To me, tastes like a big roasty, mildly coffee’d imperial stout. Tastes great but definitely not as advertised in my amateur humble opinion.

I think the the barrels are going to do wonders to this beer, particularly the rum barrel.

 

Shit, is there any beer left in Michigan? What's @superspak going to do?
