Another box, another Heist IPA from @Dragginballs76 to keep me company:

This one is a milkshake IPA. To be honest, it's not a style I'm usually too crazy about... but this is excellent. The lactose doesn't take over, but nicely complements a huge hit of citrus. The mouthfeel is soft, but not creamy. There is a sharp citrus quality (acidity?) That I'm really digging. Super fun, thanks Mike!

The box is from the SMFH branch of the Alliance Group (read: Bullies), launched by one @JBowenGeorgia :

The first bottle I pull from the box is Parish DDH Ghost in the Machine. This is insanity, folks.
Next up are three (!) cans from Creature Comforts, a brewery I haven't had a ton from but really admire:
    Cellarman's Pils coffee pilsner
    The Silent World black lager
Context & Memory pale ale with mosaic, citra, and galaxy
I've had some of their hoppy stuff (which was excellent), but I'm REALLY excited to try some of their other stuff.
Atlanta Brewing - Kentucky Beer Dad, a buffalo trace BA lagerwine. You have my full attention, sir. Can't wait to see what this is about.
Sweetwater Sinner's Son, BBA coffee imperial stout. This wasn't even on my radar but sounds awesome.
2017 FiftyFifty Eclipse - Apple Brandy! @Vidblain has consistently maintained that apple brandy barrels are the best barrels. Awesome!

John, I'm humbled by the generousity. All new ticks, all breweries I think really highly of except Atlanta Brewing which I hadn't heard of. HELL of a great box, thank you!

I certainly am a fan! I'm really looking forward to this year's batch of Prairie apple brandy beers. Sure wish they were hitting distro.

    Very nice box @JBowenGeorgia - well-played!

Well, here's the first one tried from @FlintB. I have never heard of Watermark before, but this Moon Boots, which I had to add to their list, is damn amazing.

    4.36/5 rDev 0%
    look: 4 | smell: 4.25 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.25

Pours a fairly clear darker golden color. The head is white, 1 finger, and has decent retention.
The nose hit me when I was pouring the beer. A nice waft of citrus hit my nose. Up close It has a nice grapefruit aroma.
Taste - DAMN! My taste buds are hit in a hard, pleasing way. The citrus is amazing, but also mellow at the same time. It takes a second in my mouth for the citrus to come on full blast.
The feel is creamy and soft. The body is full, and not watery in the least. The hops do linger in my mouth, and linger all the way down my throat.
Holy cow. This is an amazing IPA. My first beer from this brewery and I'm impressed so far with them.

I can't thank you enough for this amazing beer. I'm just so blown away!

I've been planning on ninjaing you at some point, this whole war thing just seemed like a good opportunity to do so. Atlanta brewing just changed it's name back to the original(it was Red Brick for several years). I just picked that one up and haven't tried it but it was well received locally. Cheers sir!

I’m glad it all made it there safely! The morticia is either this years or last...but regardless I agree with you and definitely think you should hold onto it for a bit. Oldest I’ve had one is after 3 years, and it was still drinking beautifully. As for the Sunday mole, it already has two years, and the folks at weyerbacher say one should drink it now. But. That’s only a suggestion I would think (the chilies probably will die out, but who knows what else will come up!). Same goes for the quad...as I said folks are all over the place with it, but it does have 3+ years on it, so possibly some of the qualms have been fixed by time. Also, I hope you don’t mind that I gave hints to the mystery beers...I think it makes it safer for everyone when they know what ABV to expect lol

    Anyways, enjoy!

USPS delivered your box to me to the door, rang the bell, Mrs O answered. The lady delivering the box said, “This is heavy.” Shook the box, said, “Sounds like liquid” and smiled at Mrs O.

Mrs O played it off, said, “My husband gets a lot of product samples for work” and took the box and scurried inside.

    Mrs O is a keeper.
