I relate to this so hard.

I had a really heated argument about this with my ex-girlfriend when I was in Chicago for FoBAB last year. She decided to invite herself along, even though I told her the whole trip was about beer. She decided to arrange brunch with one of her friends the morning after FoBAB, which irked me enough, but she decided it would be nice not to inconvenience her friends, so we had to meet them downtown. Parking was $10. Brunch ended up being at this kitschy little Mexican place where the line was 45 minutes long. Her friends were STILL ten minutes late - one of them didn't even bother to show up. So we paid to stand in line for 45 minutes, for the sake of their convenience, and then the food was standard Mexican fare. Oh, she insisted that we buy them brunch and drive them home as well.

Anyway: I was pretty furious. You can go anywhere for food. Nothing is worth an hour in line.

On the other hand, I'll stand in line for six hours to get a bomber or two of beer. Perhaps if they allowed bottle sharing in those restaurant lines, I'd feel better about it. Fuckers.

 

holy shit, I did it. I didn't think it was possible. I feel like I'm in the behind the scenes, in the warp zone from the old Mario games with three pipes where you can skip ahead to the later levels.

Alright, well I posted their hours yesterday in my frustration about closing up shop an hour early. Would it surprise anyone to learn they still haven't opened up a half hour after they were supposed to? I can't put it off any longer. I've got to g̶o̶ ̶f̶i̶n̶d̶ ̶a̶ ̶b̶r̶i̶c̶k̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶s̶m̶a̶s̶h̶ ̶s̶o̶m̶e̶ ̶w̶i̶n̶d̶o̶w̶s̶ get to bed and get some sleep. Hopefully tonight they listen to my digital pleas and don't lock my boxes away behind an unassailable wall of windows.

Dang that sucks I hope you can get your beer today, now I wish I had sent it out before Monday but I figured it would be there by Thursday Friday at the latest.

 

Oh it did. Got here Friday morning. But the problem with protected package storage is that it's protected even from me!
I have a confession... I was laying in bed after posting my previous post... and I couldn't stop thinking about those poor shivering lonely bottles and cans. From all the way down the hallway at the far end of the building I could hear them gurgling and sloshing in fear and insecurity that no one loved them since no one had bothered to come pick them up... so I did the unthinkable.
I put pants on.
Well they were scrubs anyway.
They were finally opening the office, making coffee, as I got there about 1000. Grunted as I strained to lift the pair of boxes and she made some cheerful morning type comment that I didn't have the energy to return, and shuffled back to my apartment.



This sneak preview will have to suffice you goobers until I wake up somewhat later, because now that I finally have them in my possession, I truly am going to sleep.

 

Excellent glad everything made it and you were able to get it all. The third box will come in the next few weeks waiting for a couple beer to go on.

So it looks like @kemoarps was not the only one who got beer today. If you recall I asked if anyone could pick me up a four pack of Maple Mistress and @CanConPhilly was knid enough to hook me up. When I say hook me up he did more than that. I should have known he could resist throwing a few more in!! Check this out!!

Tired hands Sticky Drippy Crystals an ale brewed with honey and fermented in oak. Huge fan of these guys saisons (Ourison is just amazing).

Forgot to show the bad ass sticker and card that was in the box. This might be one of the best stickers I have seen.

I have to be honest, I thought about asking if someone could hook me up with a regional seasonal release. I then realized that the 4 pack would most likely be accompanied by an extra 200 oz of beer, I decided not to ask.

I think now you need to at least say what it is you wanted.
