Damn beer karma is definitely real. Guy sends the biggest porch bomb ever, and his house is under siege the whole round.

 

Was gonna crack the Dark Lord, but my wife convinced me to open this Jester King collab farmhouse instead, which came courtesy of @r0rschach in the last round. I assume they taste pretty similar.

The Mad River Glen sticker made me chuckle. When we lived in Boston 20 years ago, it seemed like every old Subaru was sporting one of those... right next to their "I climbed My. Washington" sticker.

The wife has already sniffed out the maple donuts. Thank you so much Jon, this is just above and beyond!

There is also a box here from New Jersey, which I am going to have to open later, as my wife is glaring at me for making us late to a party I don't want to go to.

It’s a great place. Really laid back. No cell service in the building, and marginal outside. I would say it’s out in the middle of nowhere, but pretty much any place in my county of 30k people is. The only problem is their entire family (basically about 6 of them) runs the farm and brewery and while they are great people, they have gotten too busy to keep up with the service aspect. Very reasonable prices too. The 4 packs are $11 and they sell mixed 4s. 1/2 L pours are $5. Howler and growler fills are $8 and $10.

Today's beers, some are going on an airplane ride to Wa, some are going to my brother in Pa. I predict none of these will be the mystery beer that I forgot to add.

 

Enjoy! Had the Aaron pegged for this BIF and was psyched when I got my target and saw you were into barley wines.

 

Wasn't planning on having anything tonight, but I had to buy some Bud Light for a friend's housewarming gift. She loves it, so I gladly did, but I still feel dirty.

Damn! I now know why I see this all the time in WBAYDN. This stuff is damn good. Now, I just hope I don't get a hangover from this, like I do with a lot of NEIPAS.

Pours a very hazy, very murky orange color. The head is 2 finger, white, quite frothy, and great retention. There's some lacing on the glass.
The nose hit me when pouring. Citrus from the hops. Up close I get a mellow citrus aroma. It seems to be a grapefruit aroma to me. Maybe a bit of pineapple also,
Taste - It's juice. Pineapple, grapefruit, mango. Maybe just a slight pine flavor on the backside.
Body - full bodied, soft mouthfeel. It does dance on my tongue, and into the back of my throat.
I can see why it's so popular - it's damn delicious. Happy to get the chance to try it.
