It is funny you should mention this, I stopped by my local shop to pick up a few more beers for my Can Can box and they had gotten in some Westbrook Three Claw. I have had it a few times it is ok little boozy for me but tons of people love it. They had not put it out yet but since I probably pay half the years rent he broke me off a can. Little later this guy came in saw it in the back and was begging to buy it. I pay a premium at this store, it is local they hook me up let me buy more than the limit and I hook them up with beer and great tips. I can go to Florence and get this same can of Three Claw for $5.50 a can it is $8 a can there and they sell out in a few hours with a limit of one can per person to make sure everyone get some. Damn $32 for a 4 pack of beer just wow I cannot believe it. I guess it's supply and demand as long as people buy it all up they can charge what they want. this is an extreme example, most of their beer is maybe a $1 a can more than stores in Florence and this place is 5 minutes from my house so it is worth it to me.

After losing a box for the first time, I'm definitely paranoid with my packaging. Each bottle pretty much gets its own box.

Appreciate the thought. Well get 5-6 inches of rain, Raleigh and east maybe 10 plus. Moderate winds 30-40 mph the grounds wet so that will be enough wind and rain to cause power outages. Thank god it's a fast mover in and out.

    Good morning!

Today's New Breakfast Beer, as posted in WBAYDN:

Received from @Bum4ever in NBS BIF #8. Reviewed 10/11/18. Thanks Josh!
Undated can. Stored at 42 degrees and served at 55 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter.
    Appearance – 4.25.
Body – Dark brown/black, opaque. When held to the light, the only penetration occurs at the base of the ring.
Head – Large (Maximum 6.4 cm, aggressive center pour), light brown, dense, good retention, slooowly diminishing to an irregular six to eleven mm ring and a partial layer, leaving narrow rings of thick lacing.
Lacing – Good. Broken narrow bands of tiny to medium bubbles give the overall effect of torn curtains.
First pour – Dark brown, clear.
Aroma – 4.25 - Toasted malt (caramel?), coffee. As it warms past 55 degrees, some vanilla appears.
Flavor – 4 - Begins with the slightly bitter taste of toasted malt, sans caramel. Some coffee replaces the toasted malt, but still no vanilla. The mild bitterness lasts throughout and becomes the only aftertaste. No alcohol, no diacetyl, no dimethylsulfide.
Palate – 4 – Full, almost creamy, soft carbonation.
Impression and interpretation – 4 – Looks and smells better than it tastes, but still a pretty good improvement on an American Brown Ale.
    Rating 4.08, rDev -4%.

    Jeeeeeezus, man.

The highest I've seen here so far was $24/4 pk. We haven't quite made it to KBS territory (About $27/4 pk here) - it seems inevitable at this rate though. A lot of bottle shops will sneak around that just a bit by selling only singles, which makes the pricing fairly deceptive. I was a little shocked when they started doing it for Brewing Projekt stuff, or Black Stack. It's not scarce beer - yet they'd only throw two or three cans out on the shelf at $5-6 a can, artificially creating scarcity and demand. It's pretty ruthless, man - unscrupulous business practice bullshit.

Also: be safe, Southern friends! That storm looks like it means business.

Exactly, they put a few cans out with a sign that says limit one per person and people kill to get them!!! They can't keep those Decadent IPAs in at $6.50 a can.

I love that name! Alot of people rag on Mikkeller and Evil Twin but I always appreciate their humor in marketing.

Gotta keep my priorities in order! The way I see it Mother Nature is going to do what she is going to do, all we can do is hope for minimal impact.

Agreed. Their "Brown Note" can is just funny as hell, and what's inside is delicious.

Just goes to show the power of marketing. Those same Decadent cans are shelf turding in MI.

They are here in GA too. Thought about trying them but they have not been at all fresh.

I tried a couple and thought they were just OK. Though the creamsicle IPA was quite good. Not going to go out of my way to try any more.

No need, all of the flavored ones I have tried all tasted the same to me. They get every new one in and they all sell out. Someone always buys a single and I will grab a taste but not worth the money they are selling for when I can buy a sixer of Two Claw for the same price as 2 cans of that.

They fly off the shelves here - and at like $6 or more a can. It's nuts.

I did like that Orange Creamsicle, but not at the asking price. Too much - and while it's not exactly an appropriate comparison, I've been balking a bit more at the price gouging when I can just grab a great six pack of Lagunitas for like ten dollars. Fresh and local is awesome, craft is awesome, but fuckin' A, man - I only have so much money to blow on beer.

    Thanks for the thoughts!

Good here. Not out of the woods yet, but it is still projected to send us mostly rain. We're pretty soggy already, but I don't think we'll reach flooding concerns.

Has anyone kept count of the total ounces sent?

    I think I sent over 300 to @thebeers .

I went back and looked at pictures and it looks like I sent 583.8. Don’t worry. Didn’t count the mead. Could have broke the 584 mark if my local German based brewery that uses 500ml bottles didn’t use 32 and 64oz growlers.
