I forget the name of the club, but, that's the space I was thinking it was.

    Hello all.

Sadly, I'm reporting from home, and not Boarder View Lodge in Baudette. It might be hard to see, but this is why

    I HATE DEER!!!!!!

And, I'm sure it's totaled. Here is a before of her.

So on to a beer from @Bum4ever to calm my nerves down.

My review might not be the best, since my nerves are shot, but here it is. I'll be posting in NBS shortly with this beauty, that, hopefully, will relax me.

This beer pours like motor oil. Thick, black. Tan head, 1 1/2 finger. Retention is good, and nice lacing on the glass.
The nose has got a nice mellow coffee aroma. Smooth smelling.
Taste/feel - Rich, and thick. Got a nice coffee flavor, that comes on the front, with a warm boozy finish, but not harsh boozy taste. The body is thick. Has a creamy feel right away when I sip it.
Solid Stout overall. Delicious and fun to drink.

Holy shit. I'm hoping that you, and anyone else who might've been with you, are safe. Best wishes to you!

Not trying to be funny, but because I don't experience things like this in Hawaii, does the deer survive most of the time? Or is it usually fatal for them?
What do you do if the deer dies? Try to drag it off the road if its light enough? Or is this where the stereotype of roadkill food comes in?

The SOB did run away, but, since I was going the speed limit - 60 - I can't see how it would have survived. Depending on the hit, it is often fatal to the deer. Come morning, I will have better pictures of the carnage.

The 3 of us are fine. We, really didn't feel it. All of a sudden there was this BANG! and the air bags exploded. We didn't lurch, or really feel it, but we knew what happened, and I did see the buck.

A mutual friend of all of us in the car said we should have called 911 right away and got a tag for it to harvest the meat. 3 problems with that in the situation.

1 - we were in a cell dead zone, so I had to drive, with the flashers on, slowly, till we got where we could call AAA and get a tow home.

2 - where would we put the MOFO? The car was loaded up with clothing and fishing gear. Maybe we could have put it in the back seat of the car and when I got home.

3 - the MOFO ran off into the woods. No way we would find it, unless it died in the ditch. Plus, again we had to drive for cell service to call AAA.

But, again, we're fine. I might try to see if I can get into my chiropractor tomorrow just to be on the safe side. At least he's only a mile from where I live. It's an easy walk.

Also, I don't know if I'll be able to get out the one package for the participant who knows it's coming this week or not. It all depends on what's going on. Ninja packages might have to wait.

It was almost completely dark when this happened, but, if it had died from the car and it was in the road, we would have likely dragged it to the side so no one else would hit it.

    Glad everyone is okay.
Let me go on record as saying Fuck the Deer. If it wasn't for that damn Bambi movie we could eradicate these disease carrying vermin.

Depends how hard you hit them and where you catch them.
I am in favor of making large spikes on the front of your car mandatory to ensure that the deer do not survive.

They do taste good, just too bad we couldn't take care of that.

I keep my dad's skinning knife in my trunk just in case someone in FRONT of me hit a deer. NOT ME!

My friend was talking about how he hit a deer right by his mom's house, without damage to his car, a few seconds before the MOFO hit my car.

One good thing is the resort is going to keep our deposit, and save it for our winter trip. If you ever want to go fishing in Minnesota, and want to fish on Lake of the Woods - south shore, I HIGHLY recommend Boarder View Lodge. They are the best, in my opinion. They also have Walleye Master Ale. It is brewed by Liennie's (yeah, the spelling is horribly wrong). I think that it is an ale that many resorts in the area brand from them, because I could swear that Oak Island lodge in the Northwest Angle also had it, under their name.

Also, ask, and try to get Lannie. He is the best. Not a knock against the other guides, but he knows his shit. Also, bring him a beer for to take home. He likes to do that. I would have given him a Cigar City Maduro to take home with him on this trip. I had previously given him lots of new beers to enjoy.

Deer are the worst. No redeeming qualities except they're kind of delicious.

Very delicious. I really hope the hunters have a record harvest this year in Minnesota, so this crap happens less.

In a bit I'll head out to the parking lot, and get pictures of the carnage in the daytime, and start my "fun".

We're all fine. I am going to go to my chiropractor later today as a precaution, just to make sure I didn't get messed up.

And pics of the carnage in the daytime.

We're all fine. We really didn't even feel it. The car did what it was supposed to do, and take the damage. We hardly slowed down until the shock wore off.

Hit a coyote a couple of years ago at 70 mph. I didn't even slow down or stop until I realized what had happened. It's a hell of a shock.

Glad you're all safe, man - hope your insurance doesn't set you back much in repairs, too.

If it isn't totaled, it would cost me 1k to fix it, under my deductible.
