Dos. My last of the 4 pack, and this got better after about the 6 week mark. Oddly. Cumbre/Comrade Make IPA Clear Again. 7.5% - Dank/balanced/bitter. Nice.

Cheers... to clearer days, my friends.

Don’t get me wrong, if you’re buying the next round of Mettle, I’m in.

Seriously though, I go back and forth between Mettle and Heavy Mettle, but I tend towards leaning to Heavy Mettle. But, you can’t go wrong with either.

Delicious IPA. Lasting head retention/thick lacing on the glass. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy earthiness. A bit muted/muddy aromas. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing resin dryness, minimal hop astringency. Very smooth, not too overly aggressive, minimal warming 7.3%. Great Warrior/Centennial/Simcoe profile. This is Mitch Steele's new brewery, so no surprise it tastes a lot like Stone IPA. Balanced juicy, dank, and earthy hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, with no residual sweetness from lingering dryness. A bit old on the can, but impressive as it was. Spot on west coast style. 3.91

More new JP fruited/hoppy sours. Excellent stuff! Fantastic head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tart/tangy grapefruit, cherry, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, red/green apple, mango, melon, berries, white wine, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, oak, hay, straw, herbal, floral, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough malts; light leathery/musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness; pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; and light fruit/Brett tang/tartness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, oak tannins; light acids, and tangy fruit in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness and carbonation. Minimal hop/fruit astringency. Very smooth, minimal warming 6.9%. Amarillo, Cascade, Citra, Halltertau Blanc, & Centennial hops. Great balance of juicy/dank/earthy hops/fruit, with classic JP house funky Brett/Saison yeast complexity; nice oak presence and wheat/oat/pale malt backbone. Always consistently impressive wild ales. I've probably reviewed more JP than anyone else on the site, same with Speciation. 4.03

Another great new discovery. Definitely listening to the Djent Spotify playlist for the rest of the week. It is massive.
