Summit Oatmeal Stout Cold Brew Cask, 5.2% ABV, 41 IBU. Pours black with a real nice 1.5 finger off-white head. Nose is oats and chocolate, taste is chocolate, coffee, sweet with a touch of bitter coffee close. Outstanding mouthfeel, overall outstanding.

My first beer of the day, and again, that first brew is usually nothing exotic or heavy. So for today, a nice, ice-cold Pabst Blue Ribbon Tall Boy! PBR is another on my short list of cheap session beers that I enjoy and always have on hand. And at $5.49 for a six pack of tall boys, what more could you ask for?

Pipeworks BA Last Kiss. Pretty damn good! Strong barrel, maple and that authentic vanilla from the barrel that Pipeworks does so well.

It’s a bone dry, crystal clear 87 degrees out right now. Although, the Santa Ana winds are beginning to pick up - which should make tomorrow awful.

This beer is a good one. I prefer Revision’s West Coast freshies over their New England offerings, but to each their own. Aside from a fly that is trying to die a glorious death in my beer right now, things are ok:

Just ran out to the grocery store and on the porch was a box from @mschrei, so going to have to chill these quick! Always the benevolent one.

Picked up a few lagers on the way home from my bi-weekly massage...

First up was this offering from Jack's Abby. A solid, nicely balanced malty lager, low ABV, with a crisp, inviting hop presence. Finishes with a balanced sweet/dry character.

...and bought the album (The Guitars That Destroyed the World) back in the day primarily to get the then rare 1972 live cut of Blue Öyster Cult's "Buck's Boogie". And the album cover was pretty cool, too...
