A gentleman's pour of Quad Barrel Big Bad Baptist aged in whiskey and rum barrels with cocoa nibs, barrel aged coffee, barrel aged almonds, barrel aged coconut. This is really good! I'd go for the larger pour if I wasn't running the Rock n Roll 5k tomorrow morning.

Love this beer in general and especially this year’s iteration.

Going from one classic DIPA to another - and both readily available, at that.

Dinner won't end up winning any beauty contests, but it's tasty, and - well - I guess I'm proud of it. Finally got off my lazy ass and did something.

Congrats dude. Based on your posts she must be a saint to have put with you that long. Just kidding. You seem to be a great guy.

I just had my one year anniversary. Almost one year since I had to pay for two weddings. Not complaining. Hell, I got one granddaughter out of the deal.

Have a good weekend. Stay safe. Do not drink and drive.

    11 days old.
Moderate pour yields a 5/8 inch white head over a very bright, straw (with a touch of amber) colored body with some lacing. Nose of tropical fruit, citrus, and a touch of pine resin. Taste mirrors nose but with flavors that are far superior to the nose's aromas. Damn, this is delicious! Sweet citrus and all kinds of tropical fruit with a pine resin finish. Very nice feel and overall, I'll be getting more of this. Cheers!

Another Brut IPA via @RaulMondesi. Chapman Crafted. This was awesome. Great head retention/soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, zesty, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and fairly crisp finishing. Bready/grainy malts and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Smooth, soft, and pretty refreshing. 7.2%. Low IBU with tons of hop flavor. Spot on Simcoe, Amarillo, Citra profile. Very vibrant, juicy, and lightly dank hop complexity; nice pale malt backbone, minimal residual sweetness from crisp dryness. Big fan. Well made for the style. 4.1

Fantastic! Nice head retention/spotty lacing for the ABV. Aromas and flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, chili pepper, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, molasses, and toasted dark bread; with lighter notes of licorice, raisin, prune, leather, tobacco, smoke, char, and herbal spice earthiness. Touch of booze in the aromas as it warms. Mild herbal/roast/char bitterness and chili pepper spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and full bodied; very creamy, silky, velvety mouthfeel that is fantastic. Slight slickness, sticky spice, chalky char/roast, and increasing dryness. No cloying/acrid flavors. Mildly increasing lingering warmth of 11.8% and pepper heat. Amazingly dense, rich, well rounded malt complexity; great chili pepper flavor presence with minimal added heat. This was 2nd best of the 4, just shy of Coffee. Other 2 felt a bit too thin. 4.25

I liked the other five IPAs/DIPAs better. They were all outstaniding. Not sure what is with this beer but it cannot compete with all the stuff you have sent me over the year(s). Would I buy it? Probably not. Would I drain pour it? Hell know. There is good and there is exceptional. I have gotten spoiled with exceptional beer but good beer is still worth drinking.

I got a strong garlic taste from it, but I’m weird so could just be me.
