Southern Tier Bourbon Barrel Aged Oat. Pretty good, if a little ordinary.

Sippin’ on 2018 Reg while digging out the Christmas decorations. Gorgoeus day out today. Heat’s off and have the back door open to let this Springtime air flow through the house.

Lots of char, smoke and bitter coffee this year.

So far I’d buy more Orange Midnight and Wheatwine. Would not buy more Regular or Bramble Rye.

    Good morning, BAs!

Undoubtedly we'll be seeing a ton of Bourbon County today. While I did pick up a case (6 vanilla - one gone already! - 3 orange, 3 wheat wine, and 1 coffee barleywine), I don't plan on breaking into any of them right now. That doesn't mean I'm not going with some big stouts, though - starting off with this 12% Chocolate Vanilla Maple Imperial Stout, a collaboration between Angry Chair and Untitled Art.

An interesting offering, heavily spiced which seems a little more than neccesary. Overall it may not be their strongest offering but still a decent beer that's worth a try[IMG]

Oh man! While that's devastating, I can't help but admire the presence of mind required to snap such a gorgeous pic of that disaster.

Lunch brew, Lucky Town Brewing Lucille dry hopped Pilsner . . .

Hazy yellow gold color with white cap and lacing.

Aroma primarily of floral, herbal, citrusy hops with a touch of resin.

Taste is hop forward with elements of citrus, pine and herbal spiciness. Fairly simple flavors that remain consistent to the finish. Malt isn't very strong in this one but there's enough to provide a backbone to carry the hops.

    Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

Fairly good and easily drinkable, it doesn't quite have the malt character I expect in a Pilsner and the hops have a definite American bent. More of an IPL really.

    Happy Sunday, virtual bar mates!

With the last day of the mini-holiday weekend upon us, I'm starting with this:

This is an excellent coffee stout. Soft and thick with sweetness in the finish, this is a great start to the day.

I should be back around later today with another as we are supposed to get hit with Winter Storm Bruce.

    Cheers, BAs! Drink well!
