    Got a haircut, went for a run and ponied up the cash for my license plates to make my Colorado residency official. Did some beer shopping and this is what I saw.



    I'm not in the midwest anymore!:scream: It's a good thing there's a 'Plan B to the beerscape out here.:slight_smile: The Ten Fidy family has become my go to stout purchase with it's easy no nonsense availability and more friendly price. I'm not ready to go back to work!:wink:

    Today's theme is IPAs from around the world. I got Israel, Japan, Estonia, Germany, England and America lined up, should be fun!

    This IPA from Negev Brewing in Israel is enjoyable enough, but lacks a certain hop bite, which may well be due to age though. No idea how old this bottle is.

    Next up is a great West Coast IPA by Japanese brewer Uchu. I've had a few beers by these guys now and they have all been excellent, this one being no exception. Reminds me a little of Head Hunter, actually.

    Some well deserved sustenance after a 4-mile run and then doing the Christmas lights. I didn’t get frustrated once while doing that which is definitely a first for me. Doing my usual brewery shift on Friday this weekend instead of Saturday so see you folks on the flip.

    Finding this in Indiana felt like winning the lottery to me. I was looking for just a basic ESB to go with fish and chips though. Went to 2 liquor stores across from each other and found this right as I was about to walk out. Must have overlooked it. Sure glad I had the patience not to just grab something at the first store. Apparently I can special order other Sixpoint stuff. What should I ask for?

    Gotta make room in the fridge for some of today’s haul...a tasty black lager, “8th Sin” by Hop City Brewing Co., Brampton, Ontario:



    Roast malt nose and tongue; a touch of roasted chocolate malt; a very enjoyable lager this 76 degrees afternoon, and of course I dig the artwork. Cheers!

    How's the carbonation? You do anything special to store it in the fridge after opening? One of the reasons I don't drink them often is because the high abv.

    Next up is this DDH NE IPA by Estonian brewer Tanker, which is brewed with Hallertau Blanc, giving it a rather unusual and interesting flavor profile of grape and berry notes. Rather nice, actually.

    I have a couple of different cappers I put on the bottles, which usually do a pretty good job overnight. This bottle was weak on the carbonation when first opened, so I was not surprised it was flat this am. I’m capping more large bottles nowadays as I’ve usually had enough to drink and probably didn’t need to open a large format, high ABV beer late (for me) in the evening :rolling_eyes:
