Cinnamon toast crunch plus bourbon, in a good way

    I need it.

@Marksy how little are we talking about for Saturday?

We went in to try the peanut butter stout (nice, less sweet than some of the maple ones, peanut butter came through when it warmed) and heard ~50 Ba Zacaton bottles on Saturday.

Tried it when they had it on draft, really enjoyed it; on the sweet side for sure.

I only had vanilla on draft, but didn't have any concern with what I drank. They're doing great things in Niles

I don’t disagree at all overall. I love the place. But the BA Vanilla bottles were totally flat.

I constantly praise UA/HC every chance I get for their sours and IPA. But I have never personally enjoyed any of their stouts.

So either there were more than 60 bottles or about nobody showed up between 12:15 and 1, right?

60 bottles would be an extremely low yield from a barrel, unless they're saving much of it for draft.

They said “we are left with”. There’s also the members who get them put aside

Some of the hop combinations they use in their V series are really awful. V8 has a weird piney flavor from the simcoe. I will never buy HC again after this one.

The Nelson One Hop May “expire” in 15 days but it’s *fantastic* right now. It isn’t always my favorite hop but this is a great showcase

I just had it tonight and really liked it. I did get a little pine, but muted and thought it went really well. Mouthfeel was on point too. To each their own

    Seems harsh.

Pine? It’s an ipa. It said Simcoe on the can....

Simcoe is an old school hop that made many west coast breweries famous.

It just doesn't work for me. There was another batch a couple months ago I could barely drink it was so bad.

It seems harsh, but I'd rather get another 4 pack of Hop Butcher AND save $2. ‍♂️

It sounds like you enjoy NEIPAs, and not IPAs/IIPAs. Not to sound like a complete dick, but you do realize they're completely different beers with completely different flavor profiles, right? That if you're looking for haze/juice, the Fresh V series aren't going to be that?

I thought HC Fresh series was supposed to be haze/juice? Or maybe I'm misremembering?

I'm with @BLA1R in that I'm pretty much done with HC...but I'm also pretty much done with Hop Butcher as well (unless it's Blazed Orange Milkshake). Each one of these breweries seems to pull me back in every 2-3 months so who knows if I'll get sucked in again.
