Home from the second walk today, time to feed them.

 

Awesome imperial sour. Great fluffy head retention/soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/lightly tart/tangy pineapples, pink guava, fruit skin, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape wine, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/toasted malts; light pepper, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; creamy/bready/grainy malt; some lactic acid, fruit tang, and light tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy dryness, no pucker. Very smooth, minimal warming 9%. Awesome balanced juicy/jammy fruits and Lacto complexity; with a nice sized pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Not overly sweet from lingering dryness. Really well made. 4.1

Hotel living, Day 3. The mixer tonight had Leffe offered. Got my free 2 and my coworker got me a 3rd. Really fuckin happy.

 

First one was better, but this is nothing to sneeze at.

The graphic design on the can is supposed to represent the downtown Albany skyline.



The big toilet-bowl thing is a downtown building called "The Egg". It houses two separate theatres (in the bowl section) and a convention center (underneath). It's a really cool venue.. I have seen many excellent concerts there. Some big names and up-and-comers in rock, jazz, classical, bluegrass, zydeco... you name it. When my younger daughter was in dance class, her academy's recitals were held here.

 

Not my favorite vintage, but still a treat.

Again with this one, New World Ales Air Kolschi. Not an amazing beer, because it’s a Kolsch, but it’s smooth and clean and that’s all I’m asking for. Also, if it had a better name and artwork, like two WWI biplanes going at it, I’d probably like it even more - the childish artwork is whateves to me:

 

Outstanding milkshake IPA. Great head retention/lacing. Aromas and flavors of big juicy/lightly tart cherries, mandarin orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness; and fruit tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/silky/bready lactose/oats; light sticky hops and slight resins in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying/astringency. Super smooth/soft, minimal warming 7.8%. Probably Galaxy, Mosaic, and Simcoe. Extremely juicy and lightly dank hops/fruit; with great lactose/oat/malt balance. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Just as impressive and the pomegranate; but this has more fruit presence, and lactose/vanilla sweetness. 4.15

Sorry to hear about your dental issues. Not only are dental costs high but seeem to happen at the worst time. This past spring, I had three root canals and a crown. I have had at least 10 root canals done. First one was 52 years ago! I can tell you the procedure has changed a lot during this time.

Demons and Wizzards was one of my favorite albums while in college (1970-1074).
