A Barrier/Kane stout collab with vanilla and cherries, wasn’t a huge fan my first can...the tartness from the cherries is still not my thing but the vanilla pulls it together. Not my favorite but still good. Later, all

I had to drink this amazing IPA from @Ocalafox as soon as I got home tonight, to calm my nerves. Thank you, again, sir! On my way home from work there was a green light shining into my vehicle from the sky in front of me. I lifted my phone up to take a picture and it disappeared. Then it appeared again, sporadically, for my whole trip home. I drove by the woods near my house and the same green light was shining in the woods. I just arrived home. After this beer, I am going to walk over to the woods to see if I can record this strange phenomenon.

 

Pretty tasty, the best they make, so far for me. Would buy again. Some pics from a short hike today, new phone.

Starting off the night with this brand new brew from Man Skirt brewing.

This is their Czechs and Balances Pilsner

I am pleasantly surprised by this one. This is an amazing iteration of the style and local to! Im so happy there are breweries still making lagers near me.

I was very intrigued earlier this evening to find that the go-to spot of ours near the office had a DC Brau DIPA on tap. The nomenclature on the menu of this bar is the worst that you’ll ever see. In this case, all it said was “DC Brau IPA.”

Fortunately, they use beermenus and as soon as I saw it was On The Wings of Armageddon, one of my all time favorite IPA’s, I quickly ordered one. Been a few years since I’ve had the beer and it was excellent.

Now I’m home and finishing off this bomber that I corked last Friday.

Fat Orange Cat. Incredible NEIPA. Lasting head retention/thick lacing. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit dough, light honeyed malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/silky/bready wheat/oats, and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying/astringent. Super smooth/soft, minimal warming 7.5%. Amazing Galaxy, Simcoe, Citra profile. Extremely juicy and lightly dank/earthy hop complexity; perfect wheat/oat/malt balance. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Amazing spot on style example. They have been nailing the more recent ones I've had. 4.28

"Had" a full tank of gas and full vehicle inspection on Tuesday seemed like a good time to get some New Glarus. 8am on a weekday is definitely not the time to drive North through Chicago though. Anyway back in time before work so thats all that matters. Can I get Culver's twice in a day?


Need this man in my life right now. Got pretty "fuck it all" towards the end of work
