Amazing! Great fluffy head retention/lacing. Aromas and flavors of big raisin, plum, cherry, fig, date, berries, peach, pear, apricot, melon, red apple, citrus peel, coriander, peppercorn, clove, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, and brown bread/crust; with light notes of banana, bubblegum, cocoa, molasses, licorice, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; and peppery yeast/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation and body; very creamy, silky, bready malts; light sticky spice, and bourbon/oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/spicy/tannin dryness; no cloying. Dangerously smooth, mild warmth of 11%, no barrel booze. They absolutely killed this! Perfectly balanced Belgian yeast, spices, dark/bready malts, and bourbon barrel presence/integration. Well attenuated and not overly sweet/heavy for the ABV. Wow! 4.35

    look: 4.25 | smell: 4.75 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.5

    Canned 12.6.18, opened 12.13.18

“ Double your ganger double your fun!”

Poured into a teku, hazy orange, one finger off white soapy foam cap, settles to a solid layer, some lacings

Very fragrant peach, mango, guava, whiff of peppery spice

Taste is mango, tropical fruits, slight dank finish

    Dankness lingers, doesn’t bite

    Good beer

Red Cypress Brewery "Pillow Feathers" as good a NESIPA from a brewery outside NE as I've ever had. Red Cypress is about 10 miles north or Orlando, near Lake Mary, I'll be there in the next 3 weeks for a brewery visit. A really top notch brew here..4.0 on BA....

A bit of an old school DIPA.
Aggressively hopped and bitter that is well balanced with a boozy malty base with pleasant caramel notes. Strong, unforgiving and tasty. It's almost Friday!

Thanks to @TongoRad ! Exactly what I needed after working 26 out of 30 hours. Thankfully 14 of it was OT. Hopefully I can finish this before I fall asleep on the couuu...

    Deep breath post...

Had some from the back of the fridge (only 2 months old) and loved them! I need to get them more, if only they were nearby

I finally got to try this. I thought it was well made, but little too vanilla-kinda-sweet for my higher enjoyment. Better than the orange, IMHO, though. Cheers and good night.

I’m not sure what prevents them from producing this more regularly, as @WesMantooth pointed out.

Great beer, however you ended up coming about it I’m happy you’re enjoying it.

    Dessert time

Thick and chewy, a little hot at 13% but pretty smooth; a little bland tho to be honest. I’ll let it warm a bit after moving from 65* to the fridge for about 30 minutes.
