Fantastic Gose as always. Flavors of tart/sour cherry, lemon, lime, green apple, wheat, cracker, coriander, sea salt, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness and lightly spicy/tannic fruit finish. Balanced cherry/lacto acidity, salinity, and grainy wheat creaminess in the mouthfeel. Highly drinkable and refreshing, minimal puckering. One of my all time favorites in the style. I drank over a case last year. Does not feel quite as lactically sour as previous years, but still fantastic and easier drinking. Found some old back stock from last year. No fresh stuff in MI I guess this year. Just grabbed another pack recently, just because it is still holding up really well. Would get more.

I just got back from a very long 5-day trip to Michigan. Now I'm reading by the fire in front of the Christmas tree. Listening to this:

Awesome Milkshake IPA. Awesome lasting head retention/foamy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, mandarin orange juice, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate vanilla, cream, white bread dough malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; creamy, bready, grainy oats/lactose; light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Super smooth/soft, minimal warming 7%. Awesome Citra, Simcoe, Comet profile. Very juicy and lightly dank/earthy hops; great lactose, oat, malt balance; mild residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Glad I got the impulse pack as expected.

Took it a bit easier after yesterday's drinkfest. Now the kids are in bed, White Christmas is in the DVD player, and a bottle of one year and a day old DFH 120 has been poured. Hope you had a good weekend, virtual bar brethren.

Sounds like you have a good night ahead of you. White Christmas is a movie, I'm ashamed to admit, I haven't seen. But it's on my list....

Delicious NEIPA from Big Lake. Flavors of mandarin orange, grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit dough, light honey malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Similar/muted aromas. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts and sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Light resins/rinds, and increasing dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth/soft feel, not aggressive, minimal warming 7%. Great Amarillo/Mandarina showcase. Very juicy and fairly dank/earthy hop complexity; nice wheat/oat/malt backbone; mild residual sweetness with lingering bitter dryness. Been a fan of all of their NEIPAs. Nothing top tier, but still well made.

[IMG] 2018 Founders KBS - a nice charry BA stout. Admittedly, I prefer BCBS by a long shot, but this is nice for when I don't want to spend a day-and-a-half drinking a huge bottle of chocolate syrup. Solid. 4.33/5

Goodnight, beer friends. Until next time,
    Cheers

Definitely worth checking out. Great songs featuring Crosby, a number of really well shot and choreographed dance numbers, and unlike a lot of musicals from the 40s/50s, the script is well written and has some funny lines in it. I didn't see it until my wife introduced me to it maybe fifteen years ago, and now it's one I have to watch every year. Glad to hear your MI trip went well, sir. Hope you left sone Old Nation for everyone else.
