Next up is Moonwerks — a collaboration from Moonraker (Auburn, CA) and Weldwerks (Greeley, CO). Second time having this beer, and it is quite good. Cheers!

Got some Texas brews in from a friend. Starting out with Snipe Hunter from 5 Stones. Nice, easy drinking and slightly roasted stout. Cheers

I have to admit, this beer intrigued me even more because of its classsic/utilitarian artwork. As far as taste goes.... not bad! Glad I got a 4 pack.

Incredibly smooth Double Dry Hopped IPA “Their They’re There” by The Brewing Projekt. So smooth I could see an IPA hater enjoying it.

 

I’ve never heard of this band, and I haven’t listened to it yet (I will at some point tonight), but I can tell you that rock n roll will never die. The roots are too deep.

500 ml. bottle.
Moderate pour yields a one inch tan head over a nearly black body with some sticky lacing. Nose of roasted malt, chocolate, and slight vanilla. Taste mirrors nose nicely with a slightly salty finish. Wonderfully velvety mouthfeel and overall, a great dessert beer paired with anything chocolate, or even cheesecake or dark fruit. Cheers!

 

5 year revisit review. Very nice milk stout. Great head retention/spotty lacing. Flavors of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and dark/brown bread; with lighter notes of smoke, charcoal, herbal/grassy/peppery hops, and yeast earthiness. Similar/muted aromas. Light herbal, grassy, spicy, roasted bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; creamy/bready/grainy malts; light sticky hops and chalky char/roast in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering hop/char bitter dryness, no acrid/astringent. Very smooth, flavorful for 5%, not watery. A lot better than I remember. Nicely rich malts and balanced lactose/cocoa nib flavors; solid earthy hops against sweetness, and light fruity yeast notes. Very well made style example as with most of the variants. I like the new labels. 3.88
