It was an aggressive pour, I knew the glass held more than the bottle! You can probably skip it, as there are just so many good beers out there right now!

 

Local brewery Ever Grain’s take on Resilience IPA-



It’s really nice- pine, candied grapefruit, light bready malt and decent bitterness.

 

Heading out for a beer haul and grabbing a taste while I’m at it here ba. Half & Half, imperial milk stout, from Barrier/Other Half collabo. Not as good as the first release but decent enough,

 

Moving on to Ever Grain’s Saphir Bock, a 7.8% pale bock using Saphir hops-



This is really nice- doughy, lightly toasted bready malt and mildly fruity hops.

 

Right along here ba. Rocking a 2015 Bigfoot, barleywine ale, from SN. Heavy candied fruit upfront with tons of malt, a crazy smooth flow, with tons of malt and a slightly bitter finish. I could, or at least try, and drink a bucket of this,

 

Beer #2. This beer went down a lot in price here recently. Used to be $4 a can, now just a bit over $2. Still tastes just as good!

 

Buxton/ Omnipollo: Rocky Road Icecream

 

Did my very little bit of Christmas shopping today. Also got a few beers, but I'm still looking to finish off some lingering stragglers from the fridge. This one seemed a good start:


Fair Winds and Ocelot collaboration called Velvet Sea, a coconut porter. Got a few months on it, so the coconut has faded but has not completely fallen off. A pretty roasty porter is coming through now.

 

I love me some morning stouts.

First time having this year's Xocoveza, and it's drinking very nicely. Lots of cinnamon and a dash of pepper on the nose, with a hint of chocolate. Taste is decently complex, filled with coffee, milk chocolate, nutmeg and not too much heat. The body is a little thin but it's not too bad. I'm very happy with this beer!

At Labryinth Brewing in Manchester, CT having a Wail of the Banshee Scottish Ale. Pretty enjoyable. Cheers

 

Not dipping into any fancy glassware or shot ideas. Finished up a hard long run, so I'm sipping through this before a much needed shower and well deserved nap.
