    New Beer Alert

    Can O Bliss Tropical IPA from Oskar Blues

    I always like to pay my respects to shelfies every once and a while.

    Everyone knows OB but this beer is their hat in the hazy IPA arena.

    I expected a bit more from this one but it's not to damn shabby at all.

    BBA English Barleywine. This was excellent. Great head retention/spotty lacing for the ABV. Flavors of big raisin, plum, prune, cherry, fig, date, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red apple, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, coconut, toasted oak, and brown bread; with light notes of licorice, molasses, leather, tobacco, herbal, floral, grass, pepper, and yeast earthiness. Similar/muted aromas; a bit too fruity/yeasty; touch of increasing booze as it warms. Mild herbal, floral, grassy, peppery hop bitterness; and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy, silky, bready malts; light slickness, sticky hops, and oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tannic/spicy alcohol dryness. No cloying/astringency. Lightly increasing warmth of 13.5%, minimal lingering barrel booze. Awesome balance of rich malts and fruity yeast complexity; with great bourbon barrel integration/balance, and mild earthy hop presence against sweetness. Very well executed. 3.98

    Ha, Lol. The guy can be a totally arrogant bastard for sure. But it's always a blast when your drinking a beer that some one else reviewed and to compare thoughts about what you think vs what they think. Fun stuff regardless who it is in my opinion.

    Here's a positive comment. The best thing he does (as compared to other YouTube beer reviewers) is keep his opinion concise. He does that better than anyone. Get to the point!
