Ok, but I do and I was responding to Jack’s comment about DFH’s price. A DIPA 4 pack of 16 oz cans for half the price of some other DIPAs is quite a difference.

At any rate, haven’t had Hopslam in years, drink a lot more local NE IPAs now but am going to happily buy a six pack now that Bells is in NJ.

I hear you on that. First store I went to yesterday it was $19.00 for a sixer. Spent all afternoon driving around town until I found it for less than $18. Just couldn’t justify spending more than that.

And how much does gas cost in MI and what's his car's average mpg?

Haha that’s what I was thinking. Drives around all afternoon to save about $1?

My time means nothing if I’m saving 0.13 cents a can.... (maybe I should have added the emoji the first time)

Didn’t read your post as sarcastic. I went back and now it’s much funnier!

You got a pint of Hopslam for $7.50??

Fucking sign me up!!! A pint of a great 10% DIPA for $7.50? I have a better chance of seeing a leprechaun riding a unicorn jumping out of his pot of gold at the end of a rainbow than finding a pint of Hopslam for $7.50 within 300 miles of where I live.

    C’mon @zid

Chimay obviously sucks. You can buy it in a grocery store. Duh.

LMAO. Is this joker actually sincerely and unironically saying all beer from grocery stores sucks?!?

I’ve only seen I tap here once, but most of these high abv special release beers are usually 10oz pour and most certinly not $7.50. The last Bcbs I ran across as an example was $12 a pour.

I dunno, I've had so many NEIPAs lately that a traditional WCIPA tastes really good to me. I picked up some Victory Hop Wallop and am enjoying the hell out of it. I've always been a big Hopslam fan and have gotten away from it with all the other choices we now have, but I think this year I'll seek it out.

And for the record Hopslam is far from garbage.

I am not seeing Hopslam anywhere yet. Bells and Founders always slow to arrive here. I will try Hopslam again this year when it arrives now that my interest has been restoked by this thread.

Hopslam hit St Louis today. I only bought a single 6 pack though because I just bought a bunch of Toppling Goliath last night after it hit the area for the first time.

10 years ago, this was my favorite beer in the world. Haven't bought a sixer in a few years though because my tastes have changed. But today when I saw 3 day old Hopslam at the grocery store, I couldn't pass it up. Tastes just how I remember it. Deceptively smooth for a 10% beer. Glad I picked it up.

7.50 a pint for a seasonal DIPA seems pretty decent.

They are different styles....since they are different styles it depends on what you like as an individual. Personally, I love NEIPA's but I feel like I have had so many of them that I thoroughly enjoy a change of pace. Hopslam and the other big January beer Nugget Nectar are ones I look forward to. That is why Untappd is so frustrating because people rate a pilsner a 2.5 because they only think a NEIPA quantifies as a good beer. You don't eat an orange and then call it a shitty apple....
