Yikes! I did not realize this stout was at a kick ass ABV level.

 

No party planned for Friday but family plans to have a pizza party on Sunday. We will be celebrating my birthday (this Friday) and three birthdays on Saturday (daughter, her husband, and their daughter--yep all three born on the same day Jan 26).

I had planned to overdose on bourbon on Friday night to celebrate mine but my wife now tells me her brother and his wife are arriving early Saturday morning to spend the weekend and to attend the pizza party. I may still be sleeping off the bourbon when they arrive.

 

Looks like you are going to have a great time!

Hopefully someone will bring a Bourbon bottle for Sunday, that’s what family is for!

I am happy to be home in Titletown, USA, after a rough commute home.

 

One reason I like my son in law is that he has a full stock of bourbon. Seriously, a cabinet full. When I visit, I have an overwhelming choice. His place is where the pizza party will be.

I should also mention he is a good husband and father. And a hard worker. Plus he puts up with me so that tells you a lot.

Someone help me understand. I am drinking from a beer glass (happens to be a Veil one). It has two lines on the back. I understand each line is a pour line but really the bottom line measures about the same as one of my bourbon pours. But beer?

PRBLMS. A triple IPA brewed by Veil. I often can tell the taste difference of a DIPA from an IPA but not a TIPA from a DIPA. Say that three times fast. Given the ABV level of a TIPA (in this instance 11%), I would rather have the DIPA (meaning I can drink more).

 

What more could a father ask for ?

Amen my friend. You got it right. Life is good. We spend several holidays and vacations together (also with daughter #2 and her husband) at the beach (rentals, I am not rich). One highlight is Hunters dog Zeke. Dog loves the water. I have posted vids of him fetching tennis balls in the ocean but will spare you from reposts--Mike you forgot how to post them, right? Right.
