Shit... I should have yelled “LARRRRRRGE” and waited for a reply. Then I’d be certain.

Wilkes is in Wilkes-Barre. You have to pass by the Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton (Lehigh Valley) exit off the Turnpike to get there so you better be stoppin' by for a beer (or two) next time you and your wife are heading that direction! :yum:

Thanks @brutalfarce, I had to add this one. This was great stuff. Poor head retention/no lacing as expected of peanut butter. Aromas and flavors of big peanut butter, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, brown sugar, vanilla, cream, roasted nuts, and toasted dark bread; with light notes of molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, wood, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Mild herbal, floral, woody, grassy hop; and roast/char bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy, silky, bready malt/lactose; light sticky hop and, chalky roast in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering hop/roast bitterness; no cloying/acrid flavors. Super smooth/soft, minimal warming 8.5%. Awesome balance of rich malts, lactose, and PB flavors; with mild fruity yeast, and earthy hops against sweetness. Really well made. 3.97

This was my first beer enigma, BA’s. I remember trading for it back in 2013, and my first sip had me dumbfounded. Hitherto, I didn’t know other IPA styles existed outside of West Coast, so to say that I was a bit bewildered is an understatement. My first Centennial, and even my first Heady were complete mind fucks. Then what do you know, I kept trying new things, developing my palate, and I end up liking haze and copper IPA’s. This beer here though, I finally revisited it last year, and now again this year, and I conclude that it’s not a favorite, but I defend your right to enjoy it! Cheers!:

I passed on the today, price not much of a factor here, just not interested enough to buy it. There was a time I’d buy multiple cases.

I hear you and I owe you. The good news they are doing fine. At least the story they tell me.

That notwithstanding, we are gonna visit them soon whether they like it or not. I will impose upon you too.

Memory is not my strong point but just to let you know my lovely bride and I are Wilkes 1974 grads. Yes, fucking old.

Great minds think alike. Though I'm not sure how great my mind is. I just installed a pcie usb card on the back of a computer I'll never be able to physically reach around and I keep spending money on these cbd carts that I keep hitting even after i've gotten a decent amount. Does this counteract the coffee? Anyway time to watch that Melissa McCarthy writes fake letters from authors movie. I swore I would watch a movie I haven't seen yet tonight.

Ok, I’m really on new ground here. This is a Castle Brewery Kriek St Louis. Bottled in 2011, and found in a discount bin for $1.

Spontaneous Fermentation Lambic. I chose a red wine glass to open up the nose, and it’s both fruity and very boozy, sweet cherries, mixed with phenols in that big glass[IMG] . But it certinly didn’t taste boozy at all, funky on the finish. Light, refreshing and certinly different not just throwing a beer down my neck. Interested enough to buy again. No clue to the abv I can’t find it on the bottle.
