Fulton RIS aged in cognac barrels, versus earlier's RIS in port wine barrels. These are two very different beers, the barrel characteristics are done very well, so much so that you can barely tell these beers are related. The port version was excellent, then again port wine and Russian Imperal Stouts are made for one another. Lot's of cognac in the finish of this version. I'm definitely buying another four banger of these.

It's a splurge for me to until I remind myself I pay $6 per glass at hooter's for Toasted Lager or Jai-Alai...$36 per six, but sometimes the show is priceless....

Sorry to not be participating in Hopslam Night but drinking a Milking It, another Icarus IPA. This one with Lactose. Not loving all these Lactose beers but this is pretty good regardless. Cheers!!

Hey "T", this is Calende", maybe made for Total wine, Anejo, aged for 1 year. At $27 per bottle it's better than any "commercial" Patron that i've had.

Thanks @brutalfarce . This was excellence. Great rocky head retention/spotty soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, watermelon, berries, citrus peel/zest, light peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate wheat, white bread dough, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; creamy, bready, grainy malts; light sticky hops and slight lingering resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness; no hop astringency. Super smooth/soft, prretty refreshing, no warmth of 6%. Very NEIPA-like. Awesome Citra, Bitter Gold profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and lightly dank/earthy hop complexity; great balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. Spot on stuff. 4.05

I zoomed in and still have no idea what that is.

Y’all a-holes drinking Hopslam better be right, since I bought 2 six-packs just now.

Actually, the GF will drink them regardless, but I’d like to enjoy them more than in the past.

    On the PA system now:
