I rescind my previous glowing comments about DM. Just drain poured DM BA orange chocolate version. Just awful orange pinesol. I haven't dumped a beer in at least 10 years

 

Pic is not from tonight, but the beer is. Glad this is going to be a year-round regular...

 

These Head Full of Dynomite beers have been pretty good. Couldn’t tell you which variety this one is, because I think that I have to look up the can artwork online: lame. That being said, it’s still ripe and juicy af. Cheers, you crazy HopSlam bastards!:

Weather. Don't care about light. It went off and I rushed to emissions and passed. Spent money saved on beer

Evenin' , all.
After all night & all day rain , it turned to snow just in time for my walk to the brewery. Saw a flock of Common Mergansers , just below me, from the creek bridge, much closer than is usually possible - a benefit of walking. (They saw me first, so no photo.)

Decided to get the new offering , and a repeat, that I missed the previous time it was brewed . (That tomorrow, probably). The new West Coast IPA , West Coast Gold-Digger. I like the beer it replaced, West Coast Chinookie better (See @StonedTrippin 's review) , but it is good nonetheless . Cheers!

Just watched the 2nd to last episode of Sally 4 Ever..Holy shit. Everyone in that poor girls life is such a major fuck up...she just goes with it. I dig that show



Classic trio from the 70's...real nice Roots influenced tunes.

 

Drinking this beauty wishing we would get some snow. I could use a couple paid days off....

 

This was fantastic. Nice head retention/solid lacing for the ABV. Aromas and flavors of huge juicy/lightly tart/tangy cherries, orange peel/zest, fruit skin, honey, caramel, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, coriander, clove, cardamom, peppercorn, bourbon, vanilla, toasted oak, cinchona bark, and bread dough/crust; with light notes of toffee, raisin, plum, fig, pear, red apple, herbal, floral, grassy spice, and yeast earthiness. Mild booze in the aromas as it warms, but not overwhelming. Mild herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy, silky, bready malts; light slickness, sticky spice, and oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/spicy/tannic dryness, zero cloying sweetness. Dangerously smooth sipping, mild increasing warmth of 16%, minimal barrel booze. Overall, definitely one of the best cocktail inspired strong ales I've had. Perfectly balanced between rich malts, spices, and bourbon barrel presence/integration. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness, and not overwhelming on any aspect! 4.25
