    This is okay, but maybe FrauGruber really should stick to making (NE)IPAs... I certainly won't be buying their ridiculously overpriced (50€/l) BA Stout based on this and the last Stout I had by them.

    I have the chili simmering finally, and enjoying this 2018 BA Barleywine from Crystal Lake. IMHO, this brew from a small local brewery can hold its own against the "Big Boys".

    Out and about today. Visited Holler Brewing, which is one of my favorite spots in Houston. As well as a great cocktail bar, Better Luck Tomorrow for some Irish Coffee...

    Reading Runaway Horsed by Yukio Mishima. This is the second book in his Sea of Fertility novels (that he sent to the publishers, then immediately commuted seppuku...ritual suicide, yeah he is intense).

    Anyway, going to see my friends band play later tonight, at another local cocktail bar. They are playing the entire Miles Davis Birth of the Cool live. It will be awesome.
