DC Brau IPA before flying

 

Haven't had this in some time and it caught my eye today in the cooler. Cheers.

 

Much more refreshing and crisp then the typical NEIPA.
tastes go back and forth between pineapple guava flavors.
Super low bitterness as expected, but what I really enjoy is the lack of sugary sweet thickness that tends to be overdone.

Another winner from FW! and it comes in a 12oz 6er for good measure.
These go down too quick.

 

SURLY-Darkness '18

 

This stuff is just special. Rumor is that they over cooked, meaning miss measured during a round of The Agent and the gravity was too high and it turned into 7.8 ABV instead of 7% and Moon Rover almost called Double Agent was born. Pours like orange juice with a 2 finger head that just covers the sides of the glass with thick webs of lace, impressive. 4.75

Smell is papaya, pineapple, tangerine, and grapefruit rind. 4.5

Taste follows tropical all the way, papaya, guava, tangerine, pineapple, and grapefruit so wonderfully balanced, nothing completely dominating, and juicy with a nice balanced bitterness. 4.75

Mouthfeel is a big medium, soft on the palate, but coats the entire mouth with resiny hops, and at 7.8% crazy drinkable but bigger in flavor. 4.75

Overall this is just so darn tasty, you just can’t stop drinking this NHDIPA. Great beer! 4.5

Sierra Nevada Resilience. A solid, if not mind blowing IPA. But for the cause its brewed for, I'll gladly grab this a couple more times.
