Yellowhammer Brewing Frankenhammer Belgian Strong Ale . . .

Deep red gold color with lasting tan cap and good lacing.

Aroma of ripe figs that's a bit spicy and slightly vinous like old Oloroso Sherry.

Taste is a rich, complex mixture of dark ripe fruit, a touch of mild spice and dark chocolate. It's deep, complex and surprisingly refreshing given it's weight and strength. As it warms flavors come out a little more and the touch of spice is more apparent. I don't really get the clove/banana thing often found in Strong Belgian Ale but also don't really miss it here.

Full texture with balancing carbonation.

An armchair drink that stands well against it's peers.

Hey BA’s
It’s been an interesting day so far to say the least. I was topping off the oil in my truck and I dropped the oil filler cap into the radiator fan housing. You couldn’t have jammed it in there if you tried. An hour and a half later and every tool I have, it’s where it belongs. I was changing a battery in my watch and I stabbed my thumb with one of those small screwdrivers. My bench looked like a crime scene. Mrs Gee suggested it was time for me to have a haircut and yes nicked me with the razor more blood.

I hope this changes my luck

Lightly blackened grilled cheese....ok I forgot it was cooking. So fresh is so nice, couple month left on these guys ...

 

Now this is a milkshake IPA done right, new from Triptych! Chicago area breweries just can't get it right IMO. Leave it to Central Illinois for best execution.
