Comrade has a Dortmunder coming out according to their website. I haven't had any lagers from them but love their beer. Hoping this one is great.

It should be an early April release, for 10+ weeks of lagering time

The B&B has the Schlenkerla Kräusen and a fresh keg of Únětické Pivo 12° on. They both went on earlier this week. I can't imagine too many other places having those two on.

In case you haven't seen it, Beavertown posted a bit about the Helles when they brewed it with Crooked Stave back in October. Interesting to read most of it ended up in barrels.

Has anyone had a chance to try the lagers from foeders that Cerebral has been making?
I like their stuff and they sound interesting.

Havana Park Liquor has Schonramer Pils in stock. Honestly, I don't know anything about this beer, but the dude there said they were one of the first accounts in the US to receive it, not sure how accurate that is? Bought a single and it's pretty tasty though. Thought some other people on here might know more about it than me and be interested.

Sounds Good. Thanks for the information. Hopefully, I’ll see it in my neighborhood.

The head brewer Schönramer is an American expat. He's actually from Colorado if I'm not mistaken. I'll have to dig around, but I think he used to post in the German forum. I've never had their beers, but they're located right on the Bavarian/Austrian border. Assuming they're brewing beers similar to the other ones in that area - expect big malt flavors and hoppy notes that are for balance and flavor rather than heavy bitterness. I'll have to grab some next time I'm near there. That's pretty close to my 'hood and it's on the way to Comrade.

EDIT: Yup, they're the place I was thinking of. The head brewer is Eric Toft, who graduated from Mines and (probably more importantly), Weihenstephan. They have traditional beers like the pils, but they were also one of the first breweries in Germany to make an IPA. A buddy of mine was telling me about that beer roughly 10'ish years ago, so they've been at it for a bit.

I saw a bottle at a Small Batch last week and since I'm a sucker for interesting looking imports, I picked it up. Need to crack it open.

I think he’s from Wyoming, or I believe I read that after a quick Google search on ‘Schönramer Pils. Pretty cool fact about him being a Mines grad.

    Eric Toft is from Wyoming.

The brewery is not far from Salzburg, and you see the Bavarian Alps to the South. One drawback of visiting there is that you need a car, and there is no Gasthaus in the village of Schönram. We stayed in Petting about 4 or 5 kilometers away, and there was a Schönram restaurant/biergarten a short walk from our place.

The beers are excellent. On that trip I was on. Helles and Kellerbier quest. I had the Pils, in my recollection it is closer to Herren Pils than to something like Paulaner. Seek it out.

Yeah they're awesome. I've been looking for good lagers and since they're a couple blocks away, it scratches the itch all right. Worth a try.

Brooklyn's Unfiltered Pilsner is really great. I blew through one sixer, and will definitely get another if I see it again. It is a crazy good beer at 4.3% abv.

Anyone know if we're ever going to see Rothaus Tannenzaepfle again? It seems like we got a single drop 18 months ago and nothing since. Was that a one-off or what?

I'm not sure who distributes them anymore. I think St Killian is the importer, but there's been so much movement lately, who knows who has what?

Those Schönramer beers are actually pretty fresh. Bottle dated in January. That's about as fresh as German imports get. Don't let the battered looking bottles scare you off. That's how the look over there thanks to their recycling system.

Not in CO but this seems to be he only decent lager thread in the “mountain” zone.

Just had Kout 10 on tap in Sun Valley. Wow. Amazing beer. Never had saaz that tasted/smelled like that. Nothing like any “Czech” lager I’ve had in the US. Zero Diacetyl too which was nice.

Comrade is tapping their export lager this Thursday. Hopped with Tettnang and lagered for over 10 weeks. 6.3% ABV

You probably already know this, but Tofte did a collab with Tivoli called Hi En Brau that is pretty good. It's a remake of an old Tivoli beer. Also, Bierstadt has a collab with him that is either on tap now or about to go on tap.
