Hi, team! I'm starting with some pretty awesome haze from Moonraker, The Holy Hermit. Cheers, all!

I’ve had most iterations of this series and enjoyed them all. This version is no exception. The spicy pepper at the very end of the taste is the clincher, IMHO.

That goes without saying. I am not a smoker (cigarettes that is) so have no idea what a pack cost. Gotta believe though that cigarettes in VA and NC are a lot cheaper because of lower state taxes. Plus we are in Phillip Morris territory. Either way though, an expensive hobby/addiction.

The best imperial ipa in the country. At least it was in 2013 and 2015.

Delicious amber ale. Fantastic rocky head retention/thick lacing. Flavors of big caramel, brown sugar, brown bread dough/crust, toasted biscuit, nutty, and light toffee/roasted malts; with some grapefruit, tangerine, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, pine, woody, herbal, floral, grassy hops. Similar/muted aromas. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no hop astringency. Very smooth, not overly aggressive, no warmth of 5.2%. Feels like all Chinook hops. Very clean and nicely rich dark/Munich malt complexity, with balancing dank citrusy/earthy hops. Mild residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Very well made. 3.91

Needed to start out light for tonight, so I grabbed a bottle of something new-to-me on my way out of work.
Oh well; win some, lose some.

    12 oz. bottle.
Moderate pour yields a 1/2 inch eggshell white head over a bright reddish-amber body with minimal lacing. Nose of some strange fruit; passion fruit and pear are discernible, however. Taste mirrors nose, I guess, and it wasn't too bad. Very floral and perfume-like flavors. Good feel and overall, not their best. Cheers!

Recycled pic from last night. I can’t believe how much the hops have dropped off in less than 24 hours...

Russian River Saison right here, BA’s. Only a few average reviews so far, but Raul don’t think it’s that bad:

First time with Pseudo Sue. Does not dissapoint. I’ve really liked my first two Toppling Goliath’s (this and Pompeii) and love how this is now “shelf beer” in Manhattan.

Monkish brewing release in collaboration with Other Half. Trickle down Tekunomics. It's very good but like trickle down economics there's reality and perception. Cheers[IMG]
