Operation Cellar Cleanout Continues
Version 1 , nose is smoked malts, palate is smooth,
Flavors run from touch of barrel, to sweet malt.
1 bottle left, Anders and Shaun certainly left a mark.

Just started watching last night. Doubling down on the weirdness of Season One, and I'm loving it.

Haven't had the base beer yet but this is an outstanding barrel aged stout. Great stuff!

After seeing the movie “Us” with Mrs O, we stopped for some Mexican food. Naturally, Negra Modelo is my beverage of choice, chilled mug and all.

 

There were no trout. I agree completely.

 

Back to the virtual bar for more. Going local again with a DDH version of Soaked by New Glory Brewery (Sacramento). Very nice NEIPA presentation with a murky straw yellow body and a fluffy white cap. Smell is citrus-heavy, though not as pungent as one might expect from a double-dry-hopped hazy IPA. Taste is very interesting in complexity, and here, the amount of hops dumped into the beer becomes apparent. Citrus is still around, but it is now joined by bright melon as well an earthy overtone. Feel is good, standard for a well-produced NEIPA; not much to say here. This beer is in-your-face hoppy in the taste, and I do enjoy it. It is also affordable, and I would definitely buy it again.
