Well BAs I tried to nap for a bit but couldn’t turn off my brain so instead I was just lying in bed for an hour. I can now quietly sip on Delirium tremens and call it a day:

@kemoarps sent me this beer, along with others, for no good reason at all. I plan to drink at least one of the other brews he sent me at a share later today. There’s so many good people on this site, especially over in the BIF section.

    Cheers y’all!

Drinking Mora Bryggeri Guldpilsner. 5% abv. I've had the 3.5% version in the past and thought that it tasted surprisingly well made coming from a small Swedish craft brewery so I've been curious to try the full strenght version. Colorwise the beer is light amber, similar to alot of Czech lager beers. They claim to use three types of malt and 4 kinds of hops for this beer. I imagine the malts are pilsner, munich and a caramel malt of some sort. The aroma is clean with a malty breadiness, the maltiness no doubt coming from the munich and caramel malt. The flavor is also malty with a mild herbal hoppiness and a moderately pronounced bitterness that refreshes. The body is light and the beer tastes like it's strongly attenuated akin to a German pilsner. The taste is clean as well. I think it's a tasty and well made lager beer which seems like a cross between a dry and clean German pilsner and a maltier Czech lager beer.

I have a few more Swedish craft pilsners to drink today (some new to me and others that are old favorites) and I'll be interested to see how they compare against each other.

Good Saturday morning, BAs. It's a sunny and mild - but breezy - morning at the South Jersey shore. I found a couple bottles of Brooklyn Black lurking in back of the fridge. I must have bought them in November or December but it's still delicious - I think the best RIS for the price point. We have some work to do around the house but may hit up a local brewery later today. Cheers!

Light yellow gold color with white cap and good lacing.

Aroma of floral, citrus hops, with an herbal touch and hint of pine in the background. Some sweet malt present but you have to search the bleachers to find it.

Taste is hop forward with the flavor notes same as the scent notes. An overall tone of mildness in all departments. Enough malt to support the hops but the hop roof is too light weight to require much in the way of support.

The grain bill includes pale and caramel malt as well as malted and flaked wheat. The brewer says this contributes to a velvety mouth feel but I believe they and I have different concepts of velvety feel. The assortment of hops, Bravo, Centennial and Cascade, add up to an IBU of 75 which the brewer calls an explosion of nirvana . . . out in Yellowstone National Park they have some magnificent geysers that literally explode. They also have hundreds of smaller geysers far less dramatic, some little ones that only burp a bit. Yet all are technically geysers. Having seen real explosions I have to again disagree with the brewer about this being a hop explosion. That being said this combination works. Well made and balanced, It does offer more than the bog standard session ales (including 6.1 ABV) so it does carry more flavor and oomph than the session siblings. Should make a better food accompaniment as well. A cheerful little brew that may be excused it's pretensions.

Beer #2. Speaking of BIFs @Jimmy_Kneecaps , I will be BIFing a few cans of this. I could drink this whole 4-pack, but really want to see what others think of it too.

One can is set to drop today on an unsuspecting target...who just might be reading this thread

Getting my collective shit together this morning. After the Avs loss last night I gotta regroup. Heading up to TRVE this afternoon for a couple crowlers and some metal. That should make it all better.
