Car is on the fritz again...this time it needs repair asap. My speedometer quit working.
Oh well. It is what it is until I get it fixed. At least my sister is going to let me borrow her car until I get it fixed. My wallet is going to be hurting for a while. In the meantime, I may as well unwind with what beer I currently have.



This is a very good session IPA. Then again, I haven't had a bad beer yet from Lord Hobo. They kick ass at what they do.

And Oberon is really hitting the spot this year. This pack is probably going to go fast. I'm going to be on my third four pack soon so far this season. This will probably be my last one before bed, though.

Uggh I might be too high but, I thought of actual lawnmower beer "Toro Studweiser-Lawmower Lager" Can I get away with that?

 

Another Israeli microbrew. I got this specifically, because I never had a Biere De Garde before.

Incredible Berliner. Aromas and flavors of huge juicy/tart/tangy marionberry, blackberry, raspberry, fruit skin/seed, lemon, lime, orange, peach, plum, pear, melon, red/green apple, currant, red grape/wine, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, lightly toasted biscuit malt balance; light peppercorn, lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and light spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body. Balanced creamy/silky/grainy wheat, lactic acid, and fruit tang/tannins in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy dryness; zero puckering. Refreshingly smooth, not overly lactic, flavorful/not watery for 4.5%. Perfectly balanced between super jammy berries, Lacto complexity, and pale/wheat malts against acidity. Wonderful stuff, I might get a 4 pack. Amazing style example.

Great DIPA. Flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate honey, caramel, toasted biscuit malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Similar/muted aromas. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; balanced creamy/bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and some resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing resin dryness, no cloying/astringency. Very smooth, not aggressive, minimal warming 8%. Great Citra profile. Very juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank/earthy hops; great balanced dark/bready malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering resin dryness. Impressive Midwest style example all around.

Enjoying this Other Half Spiritual Nucleus from @alexsergio (thanks!)



Nice notes of almonds and cinnamon with slight vanilla latte in the nose, with flavors of chocolate-cherry, nuts, caramel, amaretto, chocolate malt, and cinnamon on the palate. Nice mouthfeel with mild buzzing carbonation and pleasant alcohol heat. 4.3 out of 5 from me, cheers!

 

Excellent milkshake IPA. Aromas and flavors of big juicy pineapples, red grapefruit, tangerine, orange juice, lemon, peach, pear, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, light peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate vanilla, cream, wheat, white bread dough, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness; and slight fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/silky/bready malts/lactose, some sticky hops, and light acidity/resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing lingering bitter dryness; no cloying/astringency. Very smooth/soft, minimal warming 7.5%. Feels like a lot of Citra/Mosaic. Very juicy and fairly dank/earthy hops/fruit; with a great balancing lactose and wheat/oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A bit more bitter/drying than the base beer like the Strawberry was, but still delicious.
