Hope everyone had a good long Friday.

From @The-Adjunct-Hippie. Very nice imperial red. Great rocky head retention/spotty soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, wood, light peppercorn, and pine hops; with balanced caramel, brown sugar, toffee, nuttiness, toasted biscuit, and brown bread dough/crust sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. A bit too malty/muddy aromas, but the BB date was 6/2018 soo was expected. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy, silky, bready malts, some sticky hops, and slight lingering resins/rinds in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing lingering bitter dryness, no cloying/astringency. Very smooth/soft, minimal warming 7.4%. Feels like Columbus/Centennial. Very juicy and fairly dank/earthy hops; with a great rich dark/Munich malt backbone. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Held up well. Really enjoyable, well made style example. 3.88

@TheIPAHunter Getting LAAARGE in the CLE! Gotta get on it quick tonight. The golf course I work at in the summer asked me to cut fairways at 5:30 AM tomorrow, so I’ll be on a mower at the ass-crack of dawn.

Welcome to NJ Boss Tweed! I’ve been wanting to try this beer for quite some time. I’m happy to report it lived up to the hype.

From @Coronaeus. Godspeed brewery. Excellent Dortmunder. Great rocky head retention/spotty soapy lacing. Aromas and flavors of big cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, and light honey/nutty malts; with moderate herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery hops. Light-moderate pine, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium-plus carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, sticky hops, and some resins in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing bitter dryness, no hop astringency. Perfectly clean lagering, no fruity/yeasty notes. Very flavorful/refreshing, not watery for 4.8%. Great clean Pils/Munich malt showcase, with perfect noble hop presence/balance. No residual sweetness with crisp dryness. Was just a bit more bitter/drying than expected, but nailed the style otherwise. 4

Medium gold colored body, bright and clear; slow rising carbonation; thick, sculpted head. Zesty and spicy aroma; citrusy. Malty and spicy flavors; bread crust; peppery with citrus notes; dull sweetness (not heavy); excellent hop bitterness subtly accentuating the malt flavors. Medium-heavy body; smooth and slippery on the palate; semi-dry mouthfeel throughout.

I seldom try New Belgium beers, but am glad to have taken the plunge with this imperial IPA. It has incredible depth and balance and goes down easy. Very tasty...
