Good. Was thinking it would be a lot different but it was surprisingly good. Really liking this brewery.

Stigbergets x Wylam, imperial orange chocolate stout at 12% ABV. Not enough orange although it's definitely noticeable. Really good stout though. The dark chocolate flavours shines through and with the subtle orange flavours sets it apart from the crowd. Would definitely try again.

Ale Apothecary Wild Fermentation Ale. These guys make awesome stuff that I can’t afford to drink. Though the new 375ml bottles help. [IMG]

    375 ml. bottle.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a 1/2 inch white head over a slightly hazy, straw colored body with some lacing. Nose of lemon, hay, and berries. Taste mirrors nose and then some. Very nice sour with some earthiness and a bit of spice. Finishes with berries and a touch of sweetness, or rather I should say less tartness. Nice feel and overall, another wonderfully intriguing offering from Greensboro Bend, VT. Cheers to Vasilios!

Getting ready to do some grilling with a nicely drinkable Pils in hand. This beer is from a local brewery, The Sterling Pig, and is called The Shoat. It's nicely drinkable and refreshing on a warm afternoon. There's some crackery malt and herbal character up front. Some floral character and some honey like sweetness from the malt nicely balance the herbal bitterness so that both are noticeable but neither dominates the other. (The beer recently took 1st place in the Philly Brewvitational new beer category and I can see why.)
