    Slightly hazy lemon yellow color with white cap and good lacing.

    Aroma is a mild mixture of sweet grain and slightly floral hops.

    Taste is first an impression of a moderately full bodied brew. More than the appearance and aroma imply. There is a textural thing going on here that may in fact be the beer's most appealing feature. The grain flavor is sweetish but muted with a somewhat firm hop presence kicking in at the back of the palate accompanied by some sharp citrus like lemon zest.

    8% ABV, Enigma hops, went great with tacos and a tamale
    I went to a Trace Adkins concert last night and it didn't suck. Of course I am a hick so YMMV

    More thunderstorms today. Power was restored promptly yesterday so no big deal. We are about to have a block party, so hopefully the storms will pass soon. The more pressing issue is that after cracking this one there are only two beers left in the fridge.

    Had me and the kids all covered in sunscreen, bags packed, headed to the pool when it started raining and thundering three hours earlier than forecast. So now the kids are coloring and I'm in the deck with the cooler and my book.

    ...the stogie is still burning, but may as well add some local rye to the mix...and I must have been stoned or something, as I usually don't have anymore than two samples of any particular beer from Tavour, but I must have pegged myself for four of these beers...no regrets...and the afternoon storm clouds build up in the west...

    A darn fine IPA...some like BP more than PtE, and I understand their preference/reasoning...but I’ll take Pliny every time - Cheers barmates!
